Put Castlevania on the Wii.

I am not talking about Castlevania Judgment. I mean an actual Castlevania game where you must use the nunchuk to whip.

DEAR MR IGA. DO THIS!! I DO NOT CARE IF MY WRIST IS TIRED AFTER PLAYING AND UH NEWSFLASH PEOPLE PLAY SPORTS WHICH OFTEN INVOLVES A LOT OF BENDING FLEXING AND SNAPPING OF THE WRIST (THROWING A BALL, SWINGING A BAT,STICK OR CLUB).
THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO DO THIS.

Oh and I love how the family oriented Nintendo is so moral that they make a conscious effort to bring attention to breasts in Castlevania Judgment.

Anyway the reason for my wanting this to be done on the Wii is the tutorial I saw on whip cracking I found on You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNKPIOelTgA

I know I am kidding myself. IGA won't do it and Nintendo would have a watered down version of the game (but thankfully boobies will be more than likely left intact :P).

In any case, this game should be done as such that you can acquire new whip cracks like in LOI where you get new combos after gaining experience.

Which techniques do you like best?

I'd be down for using the Wiimote to aim special weapons and/or aiming for whip rappelling, but I don't know about swinging it to attack all the time.

I'd also love a well-designed 3D IGA game (ie, focus on making the levels fun, not just the combat). CoD's clock tower level was an insult to clock tower levels in not just Castlevania, but in ALL games.

Oh my freaking GOD!!  :o That guy could train a Belmont no problem. That chainmail Bullwhip he demonstrates sounds like a gunshot every time he swings it! No wonder Dracula's pissed every single time he's resurrected. He has to deal with THAT mother.  :-X

The only thing they'd ever do is port the CV Arcade game.  Which probably sucks, and wouldn't make any money, so they won't do it.

Screw the Angry Video Game Nerd the flame whip is a kick ass concept. These whip masters prove the matter true.

Good call. Robot Chicken did the whip no justice. For God's sake man, IT CUT'S THROUGH FUCKING SODA CANS, IT SLICES, IT DICES!!!

Speaking of whips has anyone ever heard of the flagrum? The same weapon that was used on a guy back in 33AD.

Why is that not a main weapon in the Castlevania arsenal?

Alright, if they won't put the game on the Wii then put it on one of the other systems. What they could do is make a targeting system of which you hold down a button to target the enemy, then do a fighting game like manuver for each type of whip crack. If you want to do a figure 8, hold down target button, do a figure 8 on the D-pad and press the whip button. If you want to do a snake killer, hold down target button, do a half circle up to down on the D-pad and press the whip button and so forth. Holding down the target button will make you face forward and only make you attack the enemy or object targeted. If you want to jump or evade and target attack you could do soby pushing the jump or evade left or right with the targeting button. I think it would make the game fun as long as the targeting system is done correctly.

Please forgive the double post.

YES!!!!! You are correct sir. They did a great job with that game due to that system and that is definitely the route they should go.
:Dd

My question was not answered though. Which techniques do all of you like best.

1. Cattleman's crack
2. Overhead crack
3. Flick
4. Slow figure 8
5. fast figure 8
6. volley
7. snake killer/drum roll
8. coachman's crack
9. Tasmanian cutback
10. Singleton special...

or maybe you guys have another whip crack that you like.

There are some other whip-cracking techniques that you didn't mentioned in the above but I can't remember them right now. In terms of a Wii Castlevania, I say bring it on and us fans will decide if it succeeds or sucks. I do think however that using the Wiimote for the whip attacks would be very strenuous on the wrist. It would be better if the Wiimote whip function were to be used for whip-swinging across pits and chasms rather then attacking. At least then your wrist wouldn't give out on you so fast.
