Playstation Network or Xbox Live for Capcom fighting games?

When it comes to playing online, all I care about is Capcom fighting games, so I would like to know which network is the busiest for games such as Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4  because that info will strongly affect my decision on which system to buy.  I have read that Xbox Live is the best overall but I am still leaning towards the PS3 because the menus and system design look slick compared to the Xbox.  Comments from anyone who has played on both networks recently or semi recently would be greatly appreciated.

I don't own a 360, but in order for you to play online you need to pay a yearly fee of $50 which I think is pretty ridiculous. The PSN is completely free, and you'll never have to pay a dime. You will find more people on the 360, though but I lurk on SRK a lot, and it seems more of the heavy hitters are on Playstation 3.

As far as the communities go, the 360 has a lot more 11 year old kids playing online than the ps3. This leads to a lot of ragequits when you are about to win a match.

Also if you get a 360, you have a very great chance of having to send it to Microsoft due to the infamous Red Ring of Death that causes your console to stop working completely which is pretty humorous to say the least. I've had my ps3 for 3 years now, and I've never had a single issue with it. I know someone who has had to send their 360 in in total of SEVEN TIMES because of the red ring.

The PS3 looks more sleek in design, while the 360 looks like a flimsy toy. In my opinion, Xbox is a bane on the gaming market.
Good hunting!

That is what I want to hear.  Great reply, thank you very much.

Sure dude! As you can see by my avatar, I'm a Street Fighter player. If you want some games on SFIV or SSFIV when it comes out, just add me! My PSN name is Rugalitarian. Prepare to see lots of Vega.

Sounds great.  I will send you a personal message when I am registered on PSN.  If you do not check your messages on this site, I will start a annoying topic saying: LET'S DO THIS RUGAL!!

I've had my Xbox for 3 or 4 years and it hasn't red ringed once. It's a hearty little machine.

Lots of disc read errors, though, which pisses me off. I play the PC SFIV a lot more than the 360 one, and yeah, I've gotten some immature hate mail for winning with Dan.
