This Al looks like Mario to Juste's Luigi.  Is that supposed to be a bat silhouette when he jumps around?  At first it made me think, "He does a handstand he jumps?!"
how exactly does a bat posibly look anything remotely similar to a handstand?.
that puzzles me how you could draw such a conclusion since its obviously a bat

I was just going by what the video quality presents.  Have you ever heard of the Rorschach Test?

All I'm saying is perhaps it wasn't so obvious.  Why would someone have to transform just to jump or drop?

...and I don't know if you're familiar with Portrait of Ruin, but Richter's mid-air gymnastics is one heck of a stupid-looking double jump.  That's what Juste's first hop looked to me; like a smudge was doing something crazy.

DarkPrinceAlucard knows what it's supposed to be because DarkPrinceAlucard knows what he meant to do.  Unless something is made to be absolutely clear, there is no way to tell how other eyes and minds will impress upon it.

So far as I've seen, the only other folks to identify that thing as a bat did so with a bit of mockery...  (Referring to my favorite drawing game,) if you drew a random line on a piece of paper and handed it to me as a challenge, you'd be quite surprised at the picture you'd get back.

I might not have caught on as quickly as 'everyone' else, but give me a little credit, DP; the blotches in that video are the first time I'm seeing Al's SotN Bat Form reproportioned to Juste's dimensions.

::sigh::  Another day at the CVDF!  :D

thanks for your comment, btw, is there any palette changed when you play it? Because if no, it could be that my hack didn't really work on your rom.

all you have is a couple of functioning sprites in place of several dozen missing sprites. Also not that great a hack so far because it with a lot of work it can be a great thing for fans. But this is a big let down for fans who were hoping for something else. Don't over hype the thing, otherwise fans will just mock it, as evident at youtube.

there really isn't that many CVHOD hacks out there that are "OUTSTANDING".
CV roms aren't easy to hack dude lighten up seriously.
and people aren't saying its bad or anything. infact i've received SEVERAL pms from people that actually like the mod and the only negative feedback we have gotten is from you and that Osaka guy ;)

also i'm positive you haven't even PLAYED it yet so why are you being so judgemental without even giving it a try?
atleast play the FULL and BETTER version and see how it is before saying things like that. as i've said many times me and CoolStark improved ALOT of things in the final release so please go and play it and THEN maybe i'll listen to your critisism ;)

I'm not insulting you in anyway, so please do calm down. But like I said, gave the impression that you can actually play as (or like) Alucard. So that left some people disappointed. Not that I don't appreciate the effort, but it's just not an enjoyable hack for me. Judging from other people's reactions on youtube, many consider the work laughable at best. Like I said, if the animations were actualy made more complete such as the dashing and jumping, then I might like it more.

I cannot see your PM's, and it's odd that not many posted positive comments on youtube (but supposedly did in the PM's for god know's what reason), as well as the low rating, so I assumed many fans were bashing the work. So sorry if that is not the case, and that I was mislead in everything I read and saw people posting of their reactions there. Because frankly, a good number of them just mock it.
