The hanged man's rope is attached above. The platform above the rope is producing a dark shadow under it, the pitch black shadow results in hiding the highest part of the rope from visibility.    :D

The shadow isn't hiding where the rope just suddenly stops. The rope is attached to thin air.

Oh good eye!   From another point of view, it looks like the end of the rope could be nailed directly into the wall behind it or the rope was slipped through a hole in the back wall, and the result is as shown.  ;)
Or maybe a invisible ghost is holding up the rope?

But overall it just goes to show most wouldn't even notice a small detail like that unless they were searching for it.  People are certainly never bothered seeing characters pulling large weapons out of thin air, either.   ;D

ITT: blind defense of a shitty game

Hate to admit it but the truth is being spoken here.

The screens posted of the game just look like a bloody mess; random things and monsters thrown here and there.
There is no DESIGN there is no CONCEPT and there really is no ORGANIZATION to these maps. Any game designer would agree.

I'm really interested in the price of this game.
If it is above 20$ I will be downright appalled. An amateur game maker could put this together. Yet pros like IGA are behind this. C'mon!

To go along with affinity's disturbing attempts of praise and protection I will add something I LIKE about the game.
The artwork is new and fresh and really fits the Castlevania theme well! Imagine the thought of looking at it! Horrah! :) ;) :D

I'm interested in this.

well, i wouldn't say everything is organized helter skelter without any rhyme or reason to it.  i noticed that in the map that was initially leaked, that the map consisted of three adjacent towers consisting of three re-arranged stages from Dawn of Sorrow.  the left one was the Dark Chapel, the middle one the Cursed Clock Tower, and the right one the Condemned Tower.  of course, they're not laid together as splendidly as the originals were.  their shapes were altered so that the whole map had the dimensions of an HD screen and contained few "empty spaces".  this may be the better shape for this kind of game though.  for better or for worse, the original concept of the game was to take an HD screen and fill it up with "dot art".  i don't know if the other maps will be as clear-cut as this one in what stages they "represent".

i'm not going to say this is all a "great" thing, but i find it acceptable and want to see what they came up with.

??? not sure what you mean by "rage"?  it's good artwork.

Konami.com (US) has a page at http://www.konami.com/games/cvhod/ .  I noticed that this page actually says that there "will" be extra players and stages made.  from the interviews, i got the impression that there "might" be such additions depending on how it sells.

That′s MUCH better than the original artwork, wow..good stuff!

The trailer is really cool! I wish I could play this.

Also, awesome to see all of these together on the same screen, even if it doesn′t make sense with the timeline. (Maybe in the future they made time travel so Soma can go back, lol)

I can′t wait to see the main artwork in high resolution!  :D

LOL anti-climactic picture.
There's no need to rage at that artwork.  Looks good.  A bit watercolor-ey but that's a good style overall.

I loved that Charlotte, anything's better than light anime, and more Kojima-san :)

Everything comes full circle

Rated T for Blood and Gore, Fantasy Violence, Mild Language, and Mild Suggestive themes. Looks like there will be a story after all.

hmm, we still don't know who the artist is.  could this be the guy who did the art for Order of Ecclesia?

Mild language?  doesn't Alucard say "damn!" every once in a while?  and then there's the vacuums and skirt thing for mild suggestive themes which someone said was in the game.

I think it was confirmed that Ayami was doing the art, but I'm not too sure. Though the style's really too different to be Masaaki.
It's just that the brush strokes and colors don't really remind me of Ayami. Then again, she tends to use lighter colors for females. But there's also how the forms are drawn. Ayami's much more, I don't know, linear or precise in a way. Might be the movie compression that's killing the detail though.
