Simon, after all he was the first hero in the series of games that would eat meat from out of walls, and lord knows how old that meat really was. And it would heal him when it would kill other mere mortal men.

Even with his original design, Trevor was really badass

Simon.. pussy

JOking, I love Simon :P but he's not near to Trevor's grandness, hey, he killed Drac WITHOUT MAGICAL POWERS! Even Simon had that in advantage ^^

Everything comes full circle

 ;D Nathan wears a skirt! Pansy!! j/king

For me it's between Simon and Christopher because they both beat Drac twice with only the bear essentials.
Christ is close because he did the job once with nothing but the whip and then a second time with just a couple of sub-weapons. On the other hand, while Simon used all the basic tools he had much tougher enemies in round 1 and was CURSED AND DYING during round 2.

Trevor, Simon and Richter are definately badasses.

But I voted for Christopher. He took on Drac twice (I know I know Simon did too) but never fully got the recognition he deserved. It was cool they sorta re-told his story in Adventure Rebirth but I've still always wanted to see a next-gen game starring Christopher that basically takes the CV Adventure & Belmont's Revenge and combines them into 1 big badass game. That would be sweet.

Yeah, and I forgot to mention that Christopher even had to fight his own son. How many other Belmonts ever had to take on another Belmont let alone their own kid? (Jonathan fighting the memory of Richter doesn't count!)

Simon Belmont, hands down. Super Castlevania IV solidified his badassery in the series forever. I absolutely hate his redesign though, his design from Castlevania-SCIV was just fine.

For me it's Simon. He's been featured in the most games (though remakes) and is the most well-known to all CV fans. Although Richter is steadily making his way up there too.

I voted Shanoa. Not only is she strikingly beautiful, but she's not portrayed as an object or a bystander like many video game women are; she has a mind and a soul. That aside, she more than filled in when the Belmonts were on sabbatical and was capable of using the power of Dracula itself...in convenient glyph form. In addition to coming to her senses and exposing Ecclesia, to which she belonged since her youth, for what it really was and stopping it, she goes to pretty much every non-castle environment imaginable, has no qualms about disposing of her adoptive brother when he's consumed, and then takes on the whole castle.

tl;dr: Shanoa.

Second would be Simon, third would be Alucard.

Simon, all the way. So far, he's the only Belmont to defeat Dracula more than once.

Christopher Belmont did too

Well, if you really want to get technical, Dracula escaped when he first fought Christopher. But then there's Adventure Rebirth, so who the hell knows anymore.

I'm going to be a conformist and vote for Simon/Christopher.
