Dracula X Chronicles and PSP question

Why wasn't Dracula X Chronicles released on the PS2 instead? Was it ever mentioned? Every time I play the game I can't help  realize how much more awesome it would be playing it on a console. Fortunately, I'm lucky enough to own the original Rondo of Blood and Sotn but playing the remakes on a console would have been so much cooler.

it would look better, but it's nice to have it portable. Plus, it probably wouldn't sell as well if it were on the PS2. If you really want to play it like a console game, get the new PSP and the wires to hook it up to the TV
What a horrible night to have a curse!

There's definitely no way to do that with the original PSP?

the cables to hook up the PSP Slim to the TV are not included, I believe they're about $20. It's kind of steep but if you play a lot of PSP games at home  I think it's kind of worth it, if you have the money

Someone call the WHAAAAAmbulance. You missed the "WHy isn't this being released for the PS2?" crowd by a couple months. Either way, PS2 is all but dead so don't hold your breath waiting for this to come out on that system. Get yourself a PSP and enjoy the game, you won't be sorry you did.

Yes, for the casual crowd the PS2 is dead.

But it's only outside japan.

Japan still gets 20-30+ new PS2 games every month, up to now.

It would be neat if DXC gets a port to XBLA, even if it looked the same as the PSP version just with a higher resolution.
