Shall I move this to Fan stuff?  This also would be great to throw into the Music Remix sticky-thread that's there.

Then you might wanna mosey on to that thread.  Plenty of great tunes in there so far.
I'll keep this here for a while (probably until tomorrow), then move it. :)

I'd say Gargoyle's Quest II is even gravier than the first. It's pretty much the same game, but has the advantage of being on the NES.

Demon's Crest is without a doubt the cream of the crop, however.

There's actually a boss after that one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ZHaRBmZpA

If I recall, you beat him after beating Phalanx and obtaining the Crest of Heaven, and once you beat him, you get to see the real ending.

I remember him being the toughest boss in the game, heh. He's also a bit of a secret boss, too.

Anyway, I don't find Demon's Crest all that difficult. It has really great controls, and abilities which allow you to move anywhere. It's nowhere near the challenge that the Ghosts'n Goblins and Ghouls'n Ghosts games are, which are largely so difficult because of the controls.
