The music samples remind me of Castlevania: DraculaXX, especially the strings.
The composition reminds me more of something out of Ghouls 'n Ghosts or the Haunted Mansion stage of Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose.

One part of the tune... in 0:28, reminds me of "Platinum Moonlight" from Dawn of Sorrow (The Garden music).

So yes, it does somewhat sound like Castlevania.

Oh yes, this tune definitly sounds very castlevania-ish to me. I don't know what game it's from though. In terms of DoS, 'Platinum moonlight' sounds more like it came from Sailor Moon rather then Castlevania.

There's no way this couldn't have been some obscure pet project for Michiru Yamane.  It's too close to Aria's music to be a coincidence.

I could see this peice being reused in a fan castlevania game for a garden area, I'll have to listen to all of konami's SNES library now to see if i can find more

Is it ok to use this thread to post other songs that remind us of Castlevania?
If so, this is so Michiru Yamane i's not even funny.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xin9wO6Ig08

(Except it's apparently Chopin, lol. In a very Yamane-esque remix. Could've easily been a pumpin' clocktower theme in a Castlevania.)

ALSO: Why is this thread in fan stuff?  :-\
