Hi, I'm Khaz, screwed up on the intro previously but hey!
Anyway, Hi.
I've been working with C++ in game creation and have been working currently on a Castlevania style game. Well, I want the game to include everything I like, but at the same time I want it to be a game people will enjoy playing as well. So, for right now I'm gonna keep alittle quiet about the games details, but what do you guys like? What keeps you in the game? I would really like to make a game thats 200.6% enjoyable fan base ya know?
I told you bro!
I told you about he moon,
it keeps happening!

Recycle every sprite and tile set from the last decade, and make sure to have Alucard. They'll bitch about it at first but everyone will still play and love it.

What kind of game are you making? ClassicVania or MetroidVania?

Thanks!

Well there are a few bottomless pits, but to reply to OSM, its MetriodVania style. As for all the Alucard, just wondering, why the Alucard? o.O
I mean SotN was my favorite and FIRST game I ever played as a child but I never found Alucard that much of like awesome, just kinda cool dude.

The game itself I have so far made to be HUGE, it takes place across dimensions, stories I've written, as well as the original Castlevania story line. I want to try to "interpret"  the story holes as best I can, kinda like make my own patch. But one thing I want to clearify, the game begins in a story not of Castlevania, it follows one of my stories, but ties into alot of Castlevania.

I'm glad to see some people have some intrest! Its alittle late right now, but I'll reveal alittle story laters.

Alucard hasn't really been in many fan games has he? Well not many fan games have been finished either. I think there's acertain novelty to having him, especially with how fluidly animated he is. Though I think they are just suggesting it sarcastically. Good luck with the game!

Thanks! One thing I've been having trouble with is trying to create a special attack and combo system that works fluently in a castlevania style game ya know? What I'm thinking of doing is up-ing the diffuculty and speed, like a game that has its slow tense moments but its quick and fun moments, but getting it fluent is hard ._.
