Whatever happened to the Konami Kukeika Club?

Having played lots of Konami games in Arcades as well the many early console games I have been familiar with their work done in various series such as Gradius, Suikoden, and even Castlevania.

I know that they released several remixes and arrangement albums as well in the 90s sucha as the amazing Dracula Battle Perfect Selection and many Gradius rock arrangements.

I hardly hear about about new arrangement albums any more. As a matter of fact it seems the in-house musicians and live bands for many developers are becoming a dying breed (such as Falcom Sound Team JDK which did many Ys' arrangements, as well as SNK's In-house bands that did the many arranged soundtracks for many of SNKs titles such as the KOF Arranged soundtracks for example)

It seems the Kukeiha Club is just one more of these talented music groups to stop coming out with new material.

Would have liked to see another Castlevania arrangement album this day and age.

My understanding is that Konami Kukeiha Club and Kukeiha Club are different entities, the one being just the name given to the sound team at Konami of the time—a team which consisted of many different composers/musicians over the course of its existence—and the other being an in-house band consisting of some of those members. I'm also not aware of KKC being credited for any arrangements—the whole team itself, that is. Those arranged albums were handled by one or two individuals each, I believe.

The Perfect Selection Dracula Battle albums, for example, were arranged by Naoto Shibata, and performed by his band which was called Naoto Shibata Project, which I believe was only a group of musicians he put together for these two albums.

Konami still has in-house musicians. They're just credited under their own names instead of the collective Konami Kukeiha Club.

That is correct, or NSP (they love acronyms)
Curious though if they may make a comeback.

Sure do miss seeing the KKC name.
