Something bothers me about the comment Araujo states when Konami had asked for a "rough" and "aggressive" score to contrast with the series' "effeminate" old image.
This especially contrasts with the many quiet and ambient tracks that are used in the game that don't sound very aggressive at all. Perhaps some of the battle themes have that tense and hectic pace to them perhaps have a rough and aggressive quality to them but for most of the stage navigation and exploration segments those sentiments don't seem to fit appropriately.
Although I admit there are some dark and brooding tracks that I have a particular fondness for.
Especially this track that plays during the castle segments =

Perhaps development time will be shorter if they use the same engine already established with Lords of Shadow but with some slight improvements to get rid of the forced platforming segments and add a freely controlled camera, if they tweak it so incorporates those along with some more dark / moodier tracks like the one in the link above, my concerns will be laid to rest and I say "Bring it on!" to the sequel with much anticipation.
