As mentioned, the scenery in the game.  I tend to walk Gabriel to look upon the majestic scenes...plus I like kneeing gremlins in the nuts, that was awesome.

I don't remember that stage for the life of me in chronicles.  Looks like I need to get that game back out and play it again.

Met Laura last night, and played Castle Chess. That was done pretty well.

Totally! When I saw her in trailers, I thought.. this looks like a kind of hokey character, but in the context of the game, it was REALLY cool and creepy how it is all quiet, and she comes out of nowhere, taunting you to play. Her eyes and skin tone weirded me out too. It also reflected me back to the earlier notes in the game where Zobek hints that the strongest vampires are those that look most human. Great stuff!

Here's the part where it gets dark in the castle, at 6:40 & Laura's scene at 8:25.

Watching this again, it makes me think this will be one of those CVs we appreciate even more with time and more playthroughs:

The music is really growing on me. I like the fact that most of it is bold, original, and cinematic. I am listening to tracks on youtube. Does anyone have mp3s of the tracks that I could, ahem, borrow? Sorry if someone already posted them and I missed it.. thanks!

Ah, if only Beginning went on for a few more minutes. Shows how nice orchestral versions would be.

Im very near the end now. I was so taken by the mood and music at the beginning of the Necromancer's Abyss, with that Zodiac puzzle and the eclipse. Pretty heavy. It's amazing that this game spanned beautiful forests, to the dark gothic castle, to this ethereal desolate nether realm. Thanks for the hard work Hickcox, get yourself a drink like a good ole' chap (seen Inglorious Basterds?)
