Topic: King Of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match 360 Live Arcade

Hey everybody who likes King of Fighters, and curious people. Due out November 3rd for Xbox Live Arcade is King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match. It's actually available to download now. I downloaded it last night, it's just not 'live' yet. It's also not on the main 'Arcade' new releases page either. I had to browse under K in the alphabetical section to find it. A guy on the Neo-Geo.com forum let me know. Well it's totally awesome! I've been looking forward to this one more than any xbox live release. As it never made it to the US like 98 Ultimate Match did on ps2.  For the small, tiny price of $10.00 you get the biggest roster in any King of Fighters game ever, 66 Characters. You have to unlock 7 of them. They did a nice job on this one, unlike KOF 98 a while back. It actually has the updated backgrounds, and the little taunts after the fighters are actually translated. So if you like King of Fighters, or never played it, this is the best King of Fighters deal ever. Besides, King of Fighters: The Orochi Saga on PS2. But you can actually play this online, on November 3rd anyhow.

I had Ultimate Match on my PS2, then sold it when my DualShock to usb converter fried my HRAP. AAARRRRRGH

Oh well, got the SF4 stick now so it makes more sense to get this one. How's Ultimate Match? Pretty much the same as the PS2 one?

98 Ultimate Match on Xbox 360 is not as good as the Playstation 2 version, but still worth $10.00, and it's the only way to play it online. They took out all the nice redone backgrounds, so it only has the original backgrounds from 98. They also didn't translate what the characters say after they win a match. I think 98 Ultimate Match might of even had a redone/remixed soundtrack which also was not included. Basically on 360 it's barebones 98 with the added characters. With 2002 Unlimited Match they did a fantastic job. I heard they cut out some backgrounds from the ps2 version though... but glad to see it doesn't look like shit like Neo Geo Battle Colosseum on 360. Best SNK release on the 360 so far. It even has challenge mode on it.

Just got this a few days ago. I'm having a blast discovering combos with different characters. Just wish that any of my friends played KOF at all...

Glad we got all the 'NEST' bosses! Krizalid is at least one boss I can beat usually... I unlocked them. It may be some time before I get Geese... or Goenitz. They did not make unlocking those two easy on this on AT ALL!!! I never play as them anyway, but still. I like having them available.
