I always liked the AoS picture best, although I also really like the PoR and CV64 screens. The game over screen was one of the only good things about PoR.

I think I like OoE the best. CotM would be much cooler if the gargoyle didn't look like it was about to vomit. And I loved the HoD Game Over tune so much that I used it as the Shut Down music on my old computer.  ;D

PoR, CotM, and SoTN.

The first PoR screen scared the living daylights out of me when I first saw it, mostly because I wasn't expecting it, but the next day I was talking to my friend about how awesome it'd be as a tattoo. :D
The bleeding Virgin screen, though, I found awesome, if not a little sad.

CotM's screen carried an air of melancholy for me. I don't know why. It was probably the music.

I like the Adventure Rebirth game over screen the best. It has the animated skull and the 16-bit laugh sound effect.

Runner up for me however would be AoS because I was able to find that painting in-game which was pretty awesome.
