Bayonetta

Just got this a couple days ago. I received a 10 dollar Christmas coupon from best buy in my e-mail and they had the game for $20.00. So 10 bucks was a deal! So far I really like the game a lot. I got to Chapter 4 and haven't played any further. I think it's safe to say I like it better than the Devil May Cry games. I actually got DMC4 for 10 bucks at Toys R Us a couple weeks ago. But am a bit annoyed at that game....  Perhaps I'll finish Devil May Cry 3 before I come back to this one. I am a few chapters into each, and Devil May Cry 3 seems better...So glad Bayonetta is better, I can put that one off for a while. She's hot, the little cut scenes are amusing, and the graphics are gorgeous. The game can seems to be a bit less hard than Devil May Cry games. This Genre of games seems hard for me any how. Either I suck, or these games are just hard... I'm hoping Bayonetta only gets cooler, and I assume it will. Just curious if any of you guys have the game and what you think of it? Does it make you think about a video game character in ways you normally would not? Ha. Anyhow, sorry to compare and talk about the Devil May Cry games so much, but obviously they have some similarities.

I thought the game is pretty good... but like the DMC games, I thought the movement were kind of stiff especially the running and jumping. But the panther transformation looked awesome.

Pretty solid game though.

Bayonetta is awesome! It's one of my favorite games of this generation! I'm a huge Devil May Cry fan, and this game takes Devil May Cry, Super Mario Galaxy, and a little dose of acid, and slaps them together into a crazy, high-speed hack and slash action game masterpiece!

It helps that the guy behind it is the original creator of Devil May Cry. That's why it's fair to compare it with such. It really is a spiritual successor to those games, and it more than lives up to it. I played it, and my mind was adequately blown.

Bayonetta is actually a strong contender for all sorts of GOTY awards. It will probably win some too. 2010 has been shock-full of great games though, and the action category is especially difficult this year... but in my opinion, Bayonetta was a perfect 10. Better than God of War 3, better than Lords of Shadow, and so on.

I've been meaning to play this, even though the demo left me very underwhelmed... although I don't like the DMC games either save 3 so that might explain it.

I have this game, and it's fun but I haven't gotten all that far.  Dante's Inferno kinda prevented me from continuing this.  I should go back to it!

I actually just recently became interested in this, ordered it right away, and it just arrived today. Hopefully I can play it tomorrow, because it looks so delightfully absurd. Just from watching the trailer, I can understand why SUDA51 thinks it's so neat.
Oh yeah, and also:

Slightly off topic for a second;

Jorge, how is Dante's Inferno? I have avoided it because I've heard bad things about it, but now I'm hearing great things too from other sources. I really like DMC/GoW/Ninja Gaiden/LoS/Bayonetta and so on. Would I enjoy it?

Dante's INferno is.. a mess. Horrible graphics, horrible camera, horrible story, and over all vulgar as it gets (The divine comedy man! How could they ruin it?) and it lasts a breath. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I like a little bit of this and that.  ;D My point is I tend to like third person 3D action games, even though many of them are rather different from each other. I do prefer Ninja Gaiden over GoW though, not that I would ever seriously compare the two.

Anyhow, I'm gonna see if there's a demo or something on XBLA and go from there.
