um anyone else think it strange that in cv2 you use hearts as currency... i mean just rip out some monsters heart and use it as money and if thats the case simon is filthy rich while all the villagers are probably poor if not broke there best chance at some are stealing one of the old mans staff and clubing his best freind. ;D

isn't it even weirder how in the other games hearts are ammunition? I mean, how do you turn a monster's bloody heart into knives or whatever? Whoooooahahahaooooahhhhooooo!

Hearts are the 'heart' and will of the character to fight. When your will to fight decreases, your battle ability (the use of subweapons) decreases.

I think it would be more akin to the original game-play. I feel that the whole money thing couldv'e worked better had they used the moneybags from the first game and just had the hearts remain as ammunition like they've always been.

Blood magic maybe? If you save up bloody hearts you dont need to sacrifice something right on the spot.

lol.

CV2 is kinda weird.  I guess they didn't want more variables?

-Hearts are the source of ammunition for subweapons such as the sacred flame, golden dagger, and diamond.
-Hearts are also the method of currency from shopkeepers in the game.
-Lastly, Hearts are also your experience points.  If you kill an enemy and it doesn't drop a heart to collect, you also don't get its experience value in order to level up.  It's really messed up if you are having an unlucky streak where enemies won't cough up the goods (always beat up gargoyles in the mansions, where time stands still).

It's messed up that they didn't give you an XP value upon defeat, for enemies, instead of the 'heart'.  It's also messed up that they didn't keep a money value and had you pick up money bags instead of hearts from enemies, randomly.

This is what I would fix if it were up to me to do a remake.
