Which Portable do you plan to support?

3DS for me please!
PSP2 (aka NGP) for me please!
Both of the above please --I'm rich!
No , not yet --too expensive.  I'm fine with current portables for now.
I don't do portables --I got smartphone, ipad games etc...
I don't do portables --next gen console please!
I don't know.  My mind was recently violated by a Dark Priest.

Only interested in the 3DS, but I'll wait for a price drop and when I have more money, and hopefully there will be a second model with improvements by then.

I have my DSi XL to keep me occupied. Playing through Last Window (sequel to Hotel Dusk) right now. Loads of fun. Oh, Kyle Hyde... I've missed you. (Played through the first game all those years back with the worst sunburn I've ever gotten. Didn't do anything but sit around in my house shirtless for a whole week, slathering aloe on my torso and face every couple hours. Played the game non-stop till I beatered it.)

Pretty anxious to play the Ocarina of Time remake, though. Just gotta wait...
Oh yeah, and also:

Soda as well.

I got to take a good look at the 3DS during PAXEast.
The 3D effect, when on, is done pretty darn well, but you must remember to be looking at the 3DS correctly (no funky viewing angles).

But it's very well done!  I'll most likely be getting this at launch.  Kid Icarus & Resident Evil look mighty smexy.

I'm looking forward to both but I probably won't get one until something comes out that I want to play. But if I do get one early it's probably going to be the 3ds

I'm really surprised by this poll.  This is a hardcore forum and not even half of us are really interested in buying next gen portables right now --how odd...  I wonder why.

To me, it sounds like a good thing.

But..when you're old and retired, isn't that the optimal time to play games? That's when you'll likely have more time to do that sort of stuff and less energy to experience new things.

I mean, when you're young aren't you supposed to, like, I don't know..snort coke and bury your head between a couple of fat titties or something?  :-X

I don't like to think that far ahead, cuz we could all be dead next month or next year. So my motto is live it up while we're still here!

I'd like to get a PSP2 but I don't know enough about it just yet. I have an iPhone and I still use my PSP Phat as well, so I'm not in a hurry to get anything new just yet.

I went to the midnight launch in New York for the 3DS.
I've got one now, with Steel Diver, Super SFIV, and Pilotwings Resort. :3

So how is Steel Diver? It looks pretty interesting, but I've heard mixed opinions on it.

I got to demo the game.  I like the sidescrolling missions but, like a real submarine, controls are awkward.  There's a dive meter and a forward/backwards.  I like shooting down ships with Torpedoes.  That one requires depth measuring and if you want it to be a little more realistic, you gotta spin yourself so that the periscope spins with you (you could just a slider but WHAT FUN IS THAT!?). :P

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The 3DS has a higher resolution than the DS/DSi.  Because of this, there are two options when you play DS games:

1. Do nothing.  Pick the game.
The game's default resolution will get stretched to fit the two new screens, vertically.  That means the touch screen at the bottom and the top screen are large, but there is a small 'blur' factor because the DS resolution is being enlarged and smoothed out.  You may notice some slight washout of colors, but the games are on the two screens at a large size.

2. Hold the START+SELECT button, and pick the game to play on the menu.
This plays the game at "Original DS Resolution".  You will get accurate pixel-perfect playback.  The problem?  Because the 3DS has a higher resolution than the DS/DSi, you will have a lot of empty black real estate on BOTH SCREENS (the touch screen is also of a larger resolution on the 3DS than on the original DS). It's about 15-20% 'empty black' on the touch screen and a lot of empty space on the left and right of the upper screen (since that screen is wider).

I went to New York City yesterday so I had to stop at the Nintendo store and check out the 3Ds. I love it and I wish I had the money right now to get one. I only tried out street fighter, which looked really great and pilot wings which was fun but the 3D wasn't quite as good. Still looked awesome though. I can't wIt to see what a Castlevania is going to look like
