Poll

Given the choice, would you become a vampire?  Read first post for conditions.

Make me a vampire!  Being human sucks...
Tempting.  Give me a little time to think it over...
I don't know.  My mind was recently violated by a Dark Priest.
No.  I'd miss my old life too much...
No.  Drinking Blood is gross!
No.  Against my Religion.
I AM A VAMPIRE!  MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Fool!  This poll is irrelevant!  Vampires don't even exist!

It was kinda interesting to see that Gabriel had the choice to become a Vampire, instead of the rather lame Crimson Stone magic...  What would you do if a Vampire invited you to drink?

Although becoming a vampire makes you immortal, consider the pitfalls carefully.

1. Drinking blood is not optional, you need it to remain "alive".
2. Sunlight will KILL you.  No twilight sparkles for you.
3. No Dracula powers -no bat/mist/wolf etc.  This is the real deal.
4. Your social life, career, and your future would be changed.  Forever.

I'd rather be a dark priest.
The dream reveals the reality, which conception lags behind. That is the horror of life - the terror of art.

2. Sunlight will KILL you.  No twilight sparkles for you.
depends on the type/interpretation. Original Bram Stoker Vampires could daywalk,  but with reduced power.

Quote
3. No Dracula powers -no bat/mist/wolf etc.  This is the real deal.
again, depends on the interpretation. Although either way, i would assume powers to only occur in vampires who have been around a considerable amount of time.

It all depends see?

If you mean CV vampires, well, those seem to change depending on who's in charge...

Bram Stoker Vampires?
Nosferatu Vampires?
Etc.

They all come with different weaknesses and and abilities too.

For one, Bram Stoker Vampires, need to rest in their native soil. Meaning, if you travel, get ready to haul 50 boxes of earth with you!

Bram stoker vamps also require drinking a vampire's blood to turn (after draining their blood over a period of time sometimes). Other vampires, (specifically, the more modern kind) have to simply bite someone once.

Should specify what vampire lore you are going by.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Vampires are so vague. According to my interpretation, they don't suck blood, they suck love and they come on Valentine's Day, though it's not unusual for them to appear in other times. They are responsible for the large peaks in break-ups in certain periods of the year. They are invisible and flow with the winds. The only thing that can counter them are schlager songs.

The solely idea of inmortality is very tempting but it has lots of bad things too, so I would think about it but wouldn't dismiss it entirely  :P

What's the point of being a vampire if I don't get to sparkle? :(

I'd rather be a Dhampyre. They've got many advantages over the vampire and almost none of their weaknesses.
