Given the choice, would you become a vampire?  Read first post for conditions.

Make me a vampire!  Being human sucks...
Tempting.  Give me a little time to think it over...
I don't know.  My mind was recently violated by a Dark Priest.
No.  I'd miss my old life too much...
No.  Drinking Blood is gross!
No.  Against my Religion.
I AM A VAMPIRE!  MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Fool!  This poll is irrelevant!  Vampires don't even exist!

I was unaware of this.  What lore do you get this particular tidbit from?
You're telling me they get Scoliosis or something?  Or are they hunchbacked?

It's tempting, but it also depends on the particular interpretation of what a vampire is as well as their strengths and vulnerabilities.

Vampires who sparkle and/or shine in sunlight aren't real vampires.  They're pixies with a blood fetish.

Not even. They're just pixies.

Actually, they give even pixies a bad name.

They are...

Hmmm....

"Twilights".

Thats what they are.

I'm not sure from what lore it comes from but I read about it in a vampire guidebook years ago. It's also on wikipedia. As for the skeleton thing, well I didn't remember that properly. They have no skeleton at all!

They have no skeleton at all!

That doesn't make any shred of sense what-so-ever. Whatever 'person' or 'persons' from said era who first wrote about Dhampyres in this manner, obviously had no knowledge about the humanoid body. It is impossible to not have a skeletal system without us looking like a bunch of blobs slinking our way down the streets. :P Dhampyres have to have some sort of bone structure in order to hold the shape of a human and I seriously don't believe it has anything to do with their dark powers either.

Would you like to live for eternity... If it was an eternity of suffering?  :-\

according to certain older Vampire lores, yeah, Vampire + Human is pretty impossible, since the resulting offspring had no skeletal structure. they were just a shapeless blob which I dont remember, but i think died pretty quick.

That's actually a pretty good question that I had to ponder for a minute.  Immortality is pretty darn tempting.  But um... no, I don't think so.  Too many drawbacks.  Living a normal life would be out of the question.  I would way rather be one of those immortals from Highlander.  That would be the bomb!

I'd rather be a demon. They don't have to drink blood and they have really cool powers, plus they're immortal and can't really die, unlike vampires who are doomed if they accidently trip and land on a wooden fence post in a field of garlic stalks during the middle of a sunny afternoon.
