The Best Female Heroine

I think I've listed every playable female heroine in the Castlevania series, I hope I didn't leave anyone out.

Anyways we all know that the Castlevania series is mostly about male heroes fighting evil, particularly those of the Belmont Clan of Vampire Hunters. But what about the few female heroines who help fight Dracula too? There's some really interesting female heroines, and you can vote on which one you like the best.

Sypha: The female sorceress from Castlevania 3 who fights with elemental powers. Most people didn't even know she was a woman untill years later because her body was hidden by a cloak.

Maria: The young girl from Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night who has the power to summon animal guardians like doves/owls, cardinals, tigers, turtles, and dragons.

Yoko: The descandant of Sypha from Dawn & Aria of Sorrow who works for the Catholic Church and like her ancestor has the power to fight using elements.

Charolette: The teenage witch from Portrait of Ruin who uses a magic spell book to summon weapons and cast spells on her enemies.

Shanoa: The female vampire hunter from Order of Ecclesia who can summon weapons by absorbing glyphs through markings on her back.

Carrie: The young orphan girl from Castlevania 64 who has strong powers (and also seems to be a Maria clone).

Sonia: The first ever female Belmont member who sadly was dropped out of the series canon. Like the Belmonts she was supposed to fight using the Vampire Killer Whip.

My favorite is Maria Renard, because I think summoning animals to fight for you is like the coolest thing ever. Plus in my opinion she's the only female heroine to fully develop as a character when we see her grow from a silly kid to a mature young woman.

Sypha. She's not a typical female character (at least in the world of CV). Not an in-your-face bitch but not a slutty ditz either. Shanoa would be a close second / share the top spot.

Sypha wasn't completely terrible in Judgment either (which is quite the achievement, considering how the game destroyed pretty much everyone else).

Also..Uh-huh..THEY'RE HUGE. Still, the graphics did not do justice to her sacred gifts.

Also, I still consider Maria's Holy Tit Quest the low point of CV. Even though it was hilarious, it should've been in a "ParodyVania" or something.

I voted Sonia Belmont. She was never really given the chance that lots of us Sonia fans had want for her. If Konami (or IGA for that matter) cared about her as much as we do, then her character couldv'e been much, much more. So my hat of respect goes off to the Mother of the Belmont legacy.  :)

My vote goes to Sypha.  All of the others, save for Shanoa, bug me in some way, shape, or form.

EDIT:

Wait, I'm sorry. Yoko doesn't bug me, but my vote still goes to Sypha, I guess.  That's not to say that I'm just choosing the best of the worst, though.  I think Sypha, Yoko, and Shanoa are cool characters.

Actually my impression of the Castlevania Females is that they're all the Japanese cliche "magic girls", every one of them is a cute teenage girl who fights with magic powers. Only Shanoa and Sonia are actual warriors who use weapons.

Sypha is unique because she's not potrayed as overly-feminine which is what led many fans to be confused about her gender. Anyways for me I personally like feminine female heroines who can fight and be women at the same time instead of trying to act like a man. I guess because my philosophy is that a woman doesn't have to be exactly like a man to be a strong person.

It was a toss-up for me between Shanoa and Sonia.  I picked Sonia in the end.  However, I must note that Shanoa and Sypha are very good characters with awesome unique skills, so the decision was actually pretty difficult.

I don't really like Maria Renard much, nor do I like Yoko or Charlotte.  I do like Carrie though, she was great, just not as interesting as Sypha and Shanoa though.

So I guess my order would be:
-Sonia
-Shanoa
-Sypha
-Carrie
-everyone else.

I'm somewhat torn between Shanoa and Sypha.  I ended up choosing Shanoa because she has a more diverse arsenal thus she can adjust to changing circumstances more easily than Sypha.  Then again, Sypha was never a true main character like Shanoa.  If a game was made about Sypha before the events of CV3, we may see a whole new side to her.

That's kinda the reason I picked Sonia.  She had her own game and pretty gnarly powers (for a GBC game anyway) before Shanoa, but I find them both to be pretty interesting characters... far more interesting than Maria or Yoko.  Carrie however is really cool and also has nice powers and shares a game with Reinhardt (and Cornell).

I agree that Shanoa is pretty cool, she's the first playable female to be potrayed as a true independant main character (canon-wise at least), because she did all the fighting by herself without needing the help of a man to be by her side or rescue her first.
