It's the only one I'm missing.
Supposedly on Gamefaqs, you get it by beating Boss Rush Dash for the first time and it AIN'T TRUE. I've beaten Dash for 3 times now and still no item.
Help?

Well, that's certainly how I got it.  I don't know what else to tell you.

It's quite obvious, you see. You'll NEVER get it, since the sound item is the answer to life, the universe and everything.

Does that mean DXC has 42 sound items?! I dunno, I don't have it yet, but still....that would be a bit annoying once I get it.

yeah he same thing happened to me too. I've beaten the Boss Rush Dash several times and still haven't gotten it yet.

I guess the only thing I can think of is if you have to beat it in a certain amount of time. If anyone knows let us know

It's the music from DXC, Rondo and Symphony and 3 bonus tracks

thats odd i got a sound item first time i beat the boss rush are you sure you were playing normal boss rush mode and not like demo or random or anything

from spriter_bean's faq:
42 - Wandering Souls - Boss Rush Dash - You'll get this Sound Item when you beat Boss Rush Dash for the first time.

check and see if you have that song already in the sound test, its the colliseum theme that plays in sotn (first castle)

Well I got it somehow by beating Boss Rush Dash under 7 minutes.
But I beat several times Dash and nothing happened until yesterday.
Now I have the full soundtrack, including the arranged versions of Op. 13 (it sucks! :()and two more.
And the meaning of life IS NOT revealed. dang.

Sweet. All the more reason to get a PSP. The music tracks are for some sort of special sound mode, right?

Well you can listen to the complete soundtrack on the game's title screen and you can change the BGM in any level and replace it with any sound item you've obtained. sweet

You can't customize the music in Stages 0, 6, or 8, though.

Odd, I got the Boss rush, Boss rush Dash, and Full Boss Rush records right away.

I don't think the time matters as much as who.  I always thought that Richter would get one record, and Maria would get another.  That's why I did boss rush with both characters and got the bonuses... :x

I personally don't wanna use that feature to rearrange BGMs in normal stages, the original BGM for a level sounds just right for it, like Bloody Tears for the reddish Stage 3.

Maybe I could play SOTN's Prayer for the Final Battle: Bloodlines. :D
