well it's an opinion,  ;D   but I have great feeling this will surpass all other Final Fantasies and rpgs and definitely the scenario, characters and everything is countless times more exciting and interesting than the other rpgs being shoveled out there these days.

It's about time there's a Final Fantasy seriously concentrated on the theme of war (instead of just being a background element in the story.), and the pain and weight that comes with it (FFTactics is considered a war story, but that's nothing compared to the actual all out war going on in Type-0 across 4 nations.)
And with 12 main characters, plus 2 extra characters with their own perspective in the story, this will be very interesting since this is one of the rarest rpgs that has an actual group of soldiers as the protagonists (Squall and friends don't count, Garden was more of a loosely connected mercenary faction that hardly functioned like an actual military.)

And also with the refreshing ensemble cast approach, it could be far more interesting than the usual rpg formula that mostly centers on just one specific character.

Also the battle system is looking to be very amazing.  With 12-14 party members, each one has their own unique weapon, strengths and weakness, and with the Reserves system and how summons sacrifice a member to use their power (the sacrificed return after the mission)  combat could be more strategic and varied while providing an intense real-time experience!

Gameplay

From what i've seen so far from the videos that you have post, the battle system, it reminds me of final fantasy XII. I didn't like the battle system of final fantasy XII and if on this one is going to be the same way, then i don't think that i will be very excited........

My top 5 list of final fantasy for me personally is:

Final fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy X
Final fantasy 6
Final fantasy VII
Final fantasy 4

Actually the battle system is closer to Versus XIII.

FFXII had an auto-attack system, but this is not auto attack and there is no time gauge between actions.

Each button can be assigned a different attack/spell/ability.

Also each character is extremely unique in weapon, special ability, strengths and weaknesses, besides personality, and there are 14 of them, each one virtually representing a different job/class.

Characters look meh to me. I don't think I would believe the "war" and I am sure tactics will remain a much better story even with less nations in the battle. It certainly won't uproot my top 10 rpgs no more then dissidia uprooted any of my favorite fighters. I hope it turns out good though but squenix has put out a lot of shovelware now.

Nowadays you are either a graphics whore or a fanboy. BR is Shank not CV. It is ridiculous to think that it is better than CV. If it was CV then it would be what RE4 is to Resi, a series killer. Dumb it down and make it look pretty. Enough idiots will buy it.

Final Fantasy to me is overrated, but this game looks ok. Not the GREATEST looking RPG, I have seen better role playing games generally speaking(Rogue Galaxy, Deus Ex, ect.). I like that this game will have co-op though, might trump Phantasy Star Portable 2 in re-playability(MAYBE, a big maybe). Eh, probably will check it out eventually.

Why is that? I really liked the battle system of the game, you could spam the limit breaks of every character and by combining the strongest magic with their statuses, you could become a god in the game, very early!!!

Also many secrets to discover and the game with the cards, was also enjoyable!!! I for once, like it more than FF VII :P

Gilgamesh, Eight and Alesia introduced  ;D

http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/05/24/ff_type_zero_update/

Gilgamesh is a L'Cie,  who has gained the power of the Genbu crystal but has forgotten its mission. He's apparently huge -- many times the size of the characters.
Gilgamesh is one of the game's giant bosses. You'll face off against many such bosses as you play through the game.
The "Genbu" name is one of the game's four Peristyliums, the others being Suzaku, Byakko and Souryu. These are located in four countries, respectively Lolica, Rebrum, Milites and Concordia.
The Genbu people, who reside in a harsh mountainous terrain, are mostly all soldiers. With the power of the crystal, they strengthen their bodies and cannot easily be defeated by weapons and magic.

Eight is a Class Zero student with short red hair. He's not a fan of weapons which take people's lives, so he chooses to fight hand-to-hand. Eight has a special ability which lets you unleash a variety of actions by pressing d-pad keys.
He has a competitive nature though he tries to maintain his composure at all times.

Arecia Al-Rashina (NPC)  is head of Suzaku's magic division and overseas magic development. No one knows when she came to Suzaku. She's viewed somewhat as a sorceress who will do some unbelievable things at times.

So, the controls are like final fantasy crisis core? Then i might give it a chance.........
3 party version of Crisis Core. I can best describe it like Kingdom Hearts, where you control the "leader" of the three-person party, while the other two characters are AI. The difference is, you have the ability to swap leaders with the other two characters in the party(basically like Julius mode in DoS). So, you have control over all three characters, not at once(like old FFs), but one at a time depending on how you choose to battle. When someone dies in your party, a member of the reserve team with fill their place. The overall amount of characters you get are, I believe, 12 or 13, and you only get a specific party of 3 during battles(think the final battle in FFVI, when one character in your four person party dies, another one shows up in their place).
