Topic: Your wet dream ending for LoS -Resurrection *spoilers maybe...*

Thinking about this earlier today...  What's the best way Lords of Shadow can possibly end --given all the loose ends from the Main Game, Reverie, and the Epilogue...  I think Gabriel will struggle in this netherworld dimension even WITH his new vampiric powers.  He will be dubiously outmatched by The Forgotten One, and attempt to feed off of him to survive, but he will be brutalized and brought to his knees.  Then as a last resort, he'll whip out the Devil Mask and the epic Dracula transformation occur.  At that point, the Forgotten One will become epic EZ.

I keep asking myself why time travel was included as a plot device in Reverie --when it clearly wasn't necessary.  Not using it to save Marie raises serious questions about Gabriel's motivation --not even the possibility is mentioned...  We could dismiss this as sloppy story telling, but what if Dracula decided to go back and save her after killing the Forgotten One?  He could be thinking that his vampiric transformation is only temporary and saving Marie would hit the reset button to save himself as well.  But when he saves Marie and prevent's past Gabriel from going on the LoS quest --Dracula remains trapped in the new timeline.  Thus we have a setup for the traditional Belmont versus Dracula continuity.  Zobek survives of course --it's unclear from the Epilogue when Dracula had last seen Zobek.  Anyway --just a few ideas to think about.

It's an interesting theory...about the time travel, I mean ( I did scratch my head quite a bit at the whole idea of them going back in time to complete their task).  The question is...how far back in time did they have to go for that tower to still be intact???  For all we know Gabe and Laura may well have stepped centuries back into the past.  If MS DOES plan to deal with this issue (and not ignore it as merely a puzzle-related oddity), then we could find ourselves in some VERY interesting territory.  What happens when he returns from the "portal" and Carmilla is still sitting on the throne of the castle?  What scheme does Zobek pursue when he learns of Gabe in this new timeline?  And ultimately.....how does this new timeline fit in the battle with Satan?...taking into account that the epilogue at the end of LoS has already integrated the events of this new timeline.

It could all get very interesting.......or just end up being one GIANT plot hole.

I think Gabriel will some how split himself in half
where there is an evil half and a good half. With the good half being a new born baby and the evil being dracula.

I doubt that the "time travel" affected anything.  I think it was mentioned that it only affect the immediate area.  Also, that the device doesn't allow for time travel.  Instead, it simply reverses the effects of time in the immediate area.  In other words, restoring buildings that collapsed on their due to the structure weakening over time.  The lords of shadow will still be gone though.

First off: The time travel device is only temporary and only affects anything surrounding the void so no "going back in time to save everyone" stuff is going to happen. I was right about the time machine before and im gonna be right again.



Second thing: After Gabriel defeats TFO and absorb's it's power like he did with the black knight and two lords of shadow, making him the most powerful being on Earth in the process. With that he becomes more of a threat to the humans he once protected and is hunted down by the Brotherhood of light. In order to combat the Brotherhood, Gabriel forms his own order, the order of the Dragon, which only consist of the undead and wages war with his former order and wins.

Then Gabriel get's dubbed by the human's as "The prince of Darkness, Lord Dracula."

Well that's all I got, im probably totally off through but I hope im close.

Part of me wants Gabriel to die in the battle with the forgotten one so that is spirit acsends into Heaven while his body, Dracula, remains on earth like the Lords did. At least that way some of him gets to be with Marie. Then for a sequel he could be the main enemy

Sounds good. I like this.

Also, I'd see the castle crumble (like in every CV) and destroy TFO, as it isn't a threat in the epilogue.

That sounds pretty cool. Although I do hope that his inner turmoil has more to do with him becoming Dracula than the Devil Mask does. I just want him to have a reason for being Dracula, and not just unfortunate events beyond his control forcing him to do so.

I can't really think of a scenario myself that would be the ultimate outcome...I think I was just expecting to be shocked after the initial hype the ending generated. And shocked I definitely was, but now I just want to know where they're taking it now.

All I know is that my favorite outcome would probably feature Dracula in his own castle, and a Belmont standing at its gates.

I lol'd. Though for me...I dunno really. I guess I would like to see his soul ascend to heaven and whatever is left becomes the Dracula we've known...or rather, an actual evil/threat to mankind that must be vanquished.
