Reminds me of the Sega 16 boards and site, that place has already been hacked 3 times within a couple weeks. The hosting aka The Next Level, dropped them from their services. If someone's got beef with you, and the appropriate hacking tools, nothing you can do will stop them if they are determined.

You know it's sad when Nintendo's online system is more protected than Sony's:
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/06/nintendo-servers-attacked-no-customer-info-stolen/
Not saying the wii is BAD, I am just saying its surprising cuz they have to have the most awkward online system outta the 3 consoles.

Lol. This with Nintendo is awsome...Perfect Timing?
Like i already said it in another post bevor, I wouldnt be suprised, if Microsoft paid them to hack sony. But for sure, microsoft is coming with some statement like "we were also beeing attacked, but there was no chance to get some infomations..." at the same time some advertisment down there "buy MS security" or something like that...

I still find it ridiculous that people choose to be loyal to any of these big electronics hardware/software companies.  Microsoft and Sony don't care about you...the little guy.  They just want your money.  They care just enough to keep you from spending your money elsewhere (and sometimes not even then).  I own a PS3 and a 360 not because I love Sony or Microsoft...but because I wanted to play games that are available on those respective consoles.

Tis why I am only loyal to my 11 consoles, yeah the Wii, PSP, and DS are modern, but the other 8 I don't have to worry about hackers because they have no online. :)

well.. certainly people have the right to be mad at sony... since sony was warned several occasions (I've read one of them) that they weren't making deal with a competent security enterprise (ironically if you want real security you get a hacker to work)

this is quite amusing...

though i'm not sure.. but did sony withdraw the use of linux OS in some of their consoles, heavily damaging the homebrew aplications, just because of fear of piracy (ironically by doing this they opened the door to piracy)  not completely sure in this though. it's not like they weren't being jerks.

well, anyways... as an owner of a ps3... i don't care much since i have it just to blu ray and play some awesome singleplayer console exclusives (such as Castlevania) and ps3 exclusives (such as demon's souls and heavy rain). online gaming is still better on PC. (really, not a big fan of 360s... at this point you can purchase a pretty competent pc for a similar price... add what you are not paying extra for the online support)

No.  What I'm saying is that I am a fan of GAMES...not consoles.  I buy consoles because that's the only way to play these games.  And yea...I do wear shoes without really giving a damn who made them.  If they are comfortable, that's all I care about.  I don't care for Microsoft, and I really can't stand Sony...but I can't exactly stick my copy of LoS into my Gamecube, now can I?

I just think game console fanboys are a product of gross immaturity of the worst kind.

I'm not very informed about this but according to the versions I heard Sony had it coming, but the hackers don't give a damn about the users. They probably are doing this so people stop using the PSN, and I guess it's working.

A lot of people might know it already, but the hackers were gotten. They're serving three years in prison.

But weren't these the guys that did the first PSN hack? I thought the second hack was someone else.
