I haven't forgotten what I know about Castlevania.
What is a profit?  A miserable pile of paper!!!
Give us HD Demon Castle War on a home console NOW!!!
Forget 3D Castlevania --you ruin the brand each time you try!
Dracula is NOT a Belmont --you fools!!!
HoD is nearly a year late to PSN...  Shame on you!
Dishonest marketing is bad for business...
Maybe if Castlevania had Metal Gear's financing these past 10 years...
What happened to all the love showered upon DS owners?
DLC to celebrate a 25th Anniversary?  WTF?!?!?
I don't know.  My mind was recently violated by Konami...

I'll take your copy of Rondo if you have it, Crisis.

But honestly, I do believe that you have a right to bitch if you've actively done something to try and right the wrongs on your part. If the community makes no effort to at least attempt to reach out and give Konami and the heads of CV the heads up on how we feel, then we really are just a bunch of pissy whiners if all we do is complain with no action. Even if it does get ignored......we have to at least TRY. Then at least the rest of the gaming community knows we give enough of a shit about our own fandom that we exhausted own efforts to the last. Then that'll REALLY make the Konami heads looks like assholes, and we all know how bad press can sometimes influence.

I agree with this whole-heartedly. Anyone wanna start a petition for a new (not remake) Castlevania? That actually fits in with IGA's timeline? And preferably with IGA in charge. I'm not willing to let Castlevania fall into American hands and have them screw up the series for me. We should take charge and convince Konami!

I already sent them angry emails but they were ignored. ^.^

That was my personal preference. As long as its someone in Konami who knows what they're doing, I'm fine whatever way. ^.^

Any name can be American. I could have the Frenchest sounding name, and live in Brooklyn, NYC. Names are irrelevant.

You listen to his accent and you tell me if that sounds American to you.

He is just as European as Mercurysteam.

Thanks for absolutely nothing Konami, and Lords of Shadow blows. I can't wait to see how you butcher Contra next with the upcoming reboot.

That's all Konami cares about anymore....anything with Hideo Kojima's name on it. Look at all the awesome stuff Nintendo is doing for Zelda's 25th. It's a damn shame Konami just doesn't give a fuck.

These.

The more I've been thinking about it lately...the more I think that Castlevania may be on its way out - not due to quality issues as much as complete apathy on Konami's part. A 20th anniversary only yields gifts of china... a 25th is regarded as a silver anniversary. Konami's idea of silver is cut tinfoil, since they're too busy spending the money on MGS to toss the real silver to the CV fanbase. Sad, really.

And Sindra is absolutely right. WE definitely need to take SOME kind of initiative in order to make our stance known, because the way it's going right now, CV is headed for disaster. And even if Konami doesn't hear us...we'll shout louder.

(Also, I do think that Capcom is a little bit more receptive towards its fans, but that's been dashed as well thanks to their announcement that Ace Attorney Investigations 2 won't be released in the US... >_>)

EDIT: Crisis, pleeease don't smash your collection - at least give me CVIII, Belmont's Revenge, Legacy of Darkness, and Dracula X... the only 4 remaining now that I got Chronicles!

We must do something to save Castlevania. LoS was great IMO, but we don't want to see our beloved series become the same re-used clusterfuck of sprites or a series of Pachislot games.

(And yeah, Crisis, if you really plan on smashing your collection, send me at least your soundtrack collection.)
