I think you should rescale Julius. He got squashed a bit. The menu font kinda blends into the background too.

I have one reservation about that artwork. Shouldn't Julius look... younger? The game does take place 36 years earlier. That's a big gap.

I was think this as I looked at the menu too. A much younger Julius Belmont would be a good thing for the title screen. If you are going to use the Julius sprites for DoS then I recommend you fix them up a bit since they are somewhat amateurish looking and with the black border on them, it looks just god-awful. And don't forget to give him a proper Vampirekiller whip. Not that cheap, lifeless imitation they used in DoS 

The title screen does look nice though. Keep it up!

The DoS sprites are only to be placeholders. I'm reworking Julius for him already. I'm removing the outline and recoloring his outfit to look not so amateurish. I'm also using new whip graphics. ^^

If you look on the first page of this thread you'll see some of the reworked Julius sprites. However, those are sprites done by Serio, with slight modifications by me. I'm just finishing up the whole sheet.

pretty good. I never understood why Julius had such bad sprites in DoS. Even the mos amateur spiter knows never to have a solid black outline on a sprite, ever. (though Juste's blue outline is definitely the worse offender)
