:O

I'll get one eventually, I'm sure. There's bound to be a lot of cool games, but I wonder how many non-casual games will make it to the system.

It seems very promising since Ninty'll try to appeal to more hardcore gamers (especially diggin' the fact that WiiU will have HD graphics, alongside chucking those so very awful friend-codes). My only minor nag is the name; if they wanted more hardcore gamers, then in my opinion, they shouldn't have named it after its casual-targeted predecessor.

Looks cool so far...I just hope they have more games that interest me personally. Haven't played any Wii games for a while. Also, while I really like the Virtual Console, I'd like to see them improve their online store overall. (And I hope that transferring DL'ed games from the Wii to the Wii U is as simple as switching the SD card from one console to the other, although that would mean I can't play Devil's Crush on the Wii U :( )
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I wonder that no one is sceptic about this Display controller. Let´s say that u buy a WII U and u break the controller for some reason. Falling on the ground or maybe u have kids (mostly who buys a nintendo console have kids, its just a family console...) I think that controlle will cost as much as the console maybe? And who the hell ist paying that much?
Besides that, the controller is just big and i  have no pleasure, to play super mario with a chunk.
And since there are always coming up the same games for nintendo ,i wont get the console this time.
You always will go back to old good classic games.

I don't see the controller costing anywhere near as much as the console. It's just a controller with a big-ass screen. It doesn't have the components of a handheld and is dependent on the console to operate.

ok, lets say it doenst cost that much.
Is there any Wii game out there, that has no problems with the remote controller? I never played any wii party game, without controller problems...

how will this work with the wii controller and this display controller? there is for sure more technic in there...i dont think this will work well... :/

Edit: e3 wii u promo video, u can see, how the guy is playing mario on the controller. So, it has to have some handheld components?

Couldn't see the console but it looked as though the new controller acted as a lea son for the system and the regular Wii controller. The fact that you can draw on it got my attention  :)

What kind of problems? I've never really had issues with the Wii remote myself, unless you're talking about sitting away too far from the sensor and it not registering right.

e3 wii u promo video, u can see, how the guy is playing mario on the controller.

It shows the guy playing it on the TV, someone else coming in to watch sports, and the gameplayer switching the game from the TV to the controller's screen. I imagine the console pipes the image to the screen so you can play that way, but you'd still need the console on and I'd imagine you'd have to be in pretty close proximity to it. It's not like the Wii U controller will have all the hardware and everything that the console has.

Looks ok but honestly, if Nintendo is SERIOUS about attracting the core gamer like they said at their showing of the Wii U, then they should release the three games that are not in America yet(I won't go any further into that since there is already a topic bout' that). Either way though what worries me the most is that so far the only first party game announced is......a lego game. Really? Everything else is third party shit that we can get on Xbox or PS3 anyway. I'll wait till TGS or some other convention to hear more about it before I can fully judge it.

Heard the new dumbass president of Nintendo is cutting costs as much as possible, so there's a chance Wii U will only have one-player support.

Tell me it's not true.

The Wii U only supporting one Wii U controller isn't the same as being strictly a single-player console. There was a video of a demo I saw of a five-player game where one uses the Wii U controller and screen while four others used the TV and Wii Remotes. They'll probably just utilize multiplayer in such a way.

It does suck, however, not being able to use additional Wii U controllers, but I kind of saw this coming since Nintendo's Wii U unveiling really emphasized the "U" aspect—targeting a single player.

What bothers me most about this news is: Will Wii U users be able to buy Wii U controllers separately for replacements? Something tells me Nintendo will do some whack-ass retarded direct replacement route rather than allow a consumer to go to a store and pick one up.

However I remember reading somewhere that the system might support at least 2 players, but that hasn't been decided yet. Either way they say you can use Wiimotes or I think even 3DS's as controllers as well.
