Yet, they manage somehow combine elements of past games and "metroidvania" school together. Something that IGA wasn't able to do before OOE (which, as I heard, was developed with some of COTM team people). And this game was much better than HOD practically at everything. COTM is my favorite "metroidvania" alongside OOE. And CV64 is one of my favorite games in the series, so KCEK was awesomes in my book.
A miserable little pile of recycled sprites?
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.
Hush...all of you. Konami could release a Castlevania game where you play as a little panda bear wearing a sundress that kills zombies with a rubber tree branch and you'd ALL play it. Just admit it...
If I could +1 you two I would soooo hard
Is it worst than a miserable pile of... nothing?
Well, one thing we could be thankful for is rebirth
Yeah, ReBirth was awesome. And prooved that classic formula still could work pretty well. One just need to be creative enough, when using it.While I loved selection of music (especially A Lullaby Sent to the Devils) I didn't like it's "genesis-like" arrangement. But it's personal thing, I just have some sort of "allergy" to the Genesis sound. It's really jarring and too clank for me. I wish they used SNES sound as an inspiration for the arrangements.
I liked the entire OST of ReBirth except Load BGM. WHY did they use that song?
Beats me. If you ask me, they should've used Lost Painting, which is one of the songs they decided not to use for some reason.
