Castlevania meant slot to me since 89. Lately I feel that castlevania hasn't had this same impact on me recently. I kinda of feel that they drained it out and now they are starting to reboot the series with lords of shadow (which I liked actually). When Mario all stars came out I sent konami a letter that the castlevania series should be re-released in 16 bit and they did reply saying it was possible. Konami started chronicles with the original version and a remake then they finally redid and released the Dracula x rondo of blood. I never thought it would ever happen. I think konami should really redo the castlevania trilogy. There has been custom remakes of cv 2 and cv 3 and they look awesome and Simons quest revamped is an awesome attempt of a remake. I think if they make the revive the chronicles series it would make a lot of sense for the legendary series that will revive the series and also revive the long time fans.. They should even release haunted castle...I know they had castlevania rebirth but it was nothing compared to the original but nonetheless a good attempt. Who knows now every series is getting an hd remake so maybe cv will have some remakes. What do u guys think I feel in a matter of time they will do it but I would love to pressure konami to push a remake collection....that would be awesome...I know slot of people didn't like l.o.s but I think it's complements the series returning to more traditional classic castlevania with awesome music and making it more midevil then the whole gothic feel from later castlevanias with all these pretty looking characters lol...so don't hate l.o.s just wish they stuck more to the original cv story

Uh... You mind splitting that into smaller paragraphs to make it easier on the eyes? o.o

Lots of us think that Konami should redo the original NES trilogy, which in all honesty would be pretty damn awesome, especially since CV3 deserves a good remake.

I, personally, like LoS. It's good for what it was. It didn't necessarily scream Castlevania, but then again, it's a reboot. So maybe they're rebooting what the series means, too? I dunno, don't really care either on that subject. The biggest beef I have with LoS is the soundtrack. It's bland, uninspiring and just flat-out... crap, with the exception of Belmont's Theme.

I did this too! After becoming enamored with Super Mario All-Stars I began thinking about CV and how all three NES games would look on the SNES. It would be like getting three new SCV4-like titles. That was enough to entice me into writing a letter. But I'd sent it to Nintendo rather then Konami thinking they were the ones who held the reigns. Oops.

I would like to see a retelling of Simon's Quest with a deep storyline using Carmilla, Simon, Ferryman, Death, a secret order of "Crystal Knights" and other characters in a cold and inhospitable world with a perplexing atmosphere where many people blame Simon Belmont for the curse. I doubt Konami would do the game justice if they remade it, though.

I like this idea, and if Konami ever takes this up I want them to explain how exactly garlic in the graveyard summons a stranger. Provided they keep some of the riddles that made sense.

That's good, I guess. I have loads of ideas swimming around in my head. Unfortunately, I don't have the time/resources/support/knowledge/andwhateverelse to make them into real things : p
