After Playing enough of FFXIII to declare it an unholy abomination, I figured they could never make a sequel to something so bad...
Later they anounce FFXIII-2, I Rage to see how they could continue with such trash.
Recently, I Read an Article about FFXIII, http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/09/02/final-fantasy-xiii-2-39-s-noel-has-a-bizarre-secret.aspx

I laughed so hard.

Noel is a Guy from an apocalyptic future hanging out with a Girl, the main character I add, named Serah, possibly to prevent the apocalyptic future.

They Forgot to mention the part about thier Child and the Machines of Skynet taking over... but I'm sure they'll get to that.

Even Sonic Unleashed used a similiar time travel plot.     and Dragonball Z's Trunks/Cell saga.

XIII-2 really needs a lot more actual people as permanent party members instead of recycled monsters that are already part of the bestiary people fight over and over.    Not expected anything from it.   It looks like they are just making it up as they go along.   FFXIII-2 has a long way to go to rival the best Final Fantasies, including Type-0 (which isn't released yet but that's already proving to be more of a  FF than anything with a XIII in the title.)

I actually Find it Hilarious the XIII and Type-0 exist in the same FF Universe yet Polar Opposites of each other.
Type-0 = This is better that Crisis Core, Why are all the good FF games on handhelds?
XIII = Worst than X-2, I'm really Pessimistic on console FFs

If FF13-2 is anything like FF13 then it will surly suck. I hated every aspect of that piece of shit.

I am genuinly interested in Versus XIII, but that's about it. I'll probably pick up this XIII-2 thing someday when it's cheap though. It looks like the have actual cities, at least from some gameplay trailer I saw recently. But it may very well be like in the original XIII. FFXIII was all surface no feeling.

How long has Versus-XIII been in development now? It's almost laughable.

Has Square-Enix released a FFVI Deluxe Edition yet? If not, what are they waiting for?

THe closest thing they did was the GBA version that had the usual extra dungeon, more weapons and some new espers.

Unlike the Internet at large, I enjoyed XIII, dumb as it was in many aspects, so I'm looking forward to this. Desperately needs more Lightning, though.

Development started in 2003, unveiled at E3 2006.

In other words, a long ass time.

8 years so far... more like Final Fantasy Versus Forever
