My precise idea is a Dracula+Zobek VS Satan VS Humanity's Champion/new Belmont.

Of course, some alliances may be broken or created, like Dracula submitting Zobek to his will in the end, or Dracula and the new Belmont obliged to fight together against a too-powerful Satan.

Also, new Belmont is IGA.

Dracula is the protagonist. Any inclusion of Belmonts is just wishful thinking.

Another protagonist, and something to fix the cross. Maybe we'll see Rinaldo?

I want to be pleasantly surprised. Considering how the LoS tale came out of nowhere, i cant even GUESS where it will go next.

it will likely follow LoS, with the games epilogue following after the last epilogue.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

It can go two ways:

1. The game take place in the past again, say a few hundred years after Resurrection, during Dracula's reign with a new protagonist (not a Belmont for obvious reasons) trying to take him down within his castle or whatever he decided to stay in.

2.Dracula take's with Zobek's offer and team up to defeat Satan while a hunter is trying to kill Dracula like his desendants before him (seeing that in the epilouge Dracula has been been killed multiple times over the past millennium)

Those are my guesses but I, and honestly most of us, could be off by a country mile.

Like most, I'm guessing Drac + Zobek vs satan, but then who knows.

Cox said in an interview somewhere that he always wanted to use Alucard. I think that instead of Al, we'll just be playing as Drac, and the gameplay will be more akin to SotN.

Good question and good multiple choice answers.  I'll go with Dracula + Zobek vs Satan.  I think there's no need for a new human champion, as I'm going to guess that Dracula finds redemption in this game and becomes that champion again.

My speculation is that after the ending of Resurrection, Gabriel will still be changing in to his final form (which would more than likely happen after a few levels in game) and we will see him clear out house and eventually gain mastery and dominance over the demon castle, thus becoming its true master.  Since we had seen the Devil's Mask fused with him in the game's original ending.

So apparently the castle is a lot larger from earlier interviews. So it is more than speculated that there will be a SoTN like feel to it. I'm also guessing is that it will take place back in that time frame or present time (depending on how they feel since he technically traveled back in time.) But I am assuming that the Lords of Shadows are still alive during this reign.

So he has all three powers of the dark lord, he has become the Prince of Darkness, but has yet to fuse with the Devil's Mask. So I'm kinda eager to see how well Cox's vision of Castlevania will play out, as I think it will be interesting to play as the D man himself instead of some boring (no offense; I thought he was a good character) reincarnation of the man.

Whatever happens, I'd like it to retain a protagonist with a holy chain whip and subweapons. Don't really give a crap about playing as Dracula or whatever.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that playing as Dracula could be a great idea for the series, if handled correctly.

I agree with the idea of him "cleaning house" so to speak, but I believe it will be in present time. Gabe and Laura didn't actually go back in time, but instead the clock tower was simply reverted back to it's former self. Like if you had a tea cup that you had just smashed, forming back into its unbroken state.

The only way I might enjoy seeing Drac as a protagonist in this story line is if he overthrows Satan to become Big Evil Guy of the series once again, maybe to re-establish his might by having him actually kill/defeat someone as Dracula, and not be banished again by a Belmont. But I'm guessing with the present-day setting that this point in time was meant to be the end of the LoS storyline, so whatever. Sounds like an awful lot of setup for one guy, anyway.  It's wishful thinking of an undesirable scenario, I guess.

Also hope MS doesn't mix a storyline set in the past with the present day LoS events, like an Assassin's Creed game (I love those games, but I digress). Then the copycat accusations would come back.  ;)
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I'm actually in favor of parallel narratives. One for the unfolding of the present day story (not its conclusion, save them for the 7th game or something, like Assassins Creed) and one going through the whole millenium of Dracula as Prince of Darkness.
If well done, could be a killer story.

Everything comes full circle

IF LoS2 shows Gabeula through the centuries, lets hope one of the usable items is the Heart of Darkness (Legacy of Kain). Would make a cool DS game if it played like LoK too.

Well, yes, these too. I hope LoS2 amps up the horror aspect. The Headless Burrowers and Evil Butcher were great starts, but it needs more.
