The Riddle:

"In a place where the game seems to flow well, sometimes your confidence will keep you from exploring more than you need to.
I encourage you to keep your eye open and hold onto your flask while you stand upright and tread forth."

There is something hidden in the game. This vague riddle is the key. Hint: almost every word in the riddle is important.

No, Jorge. First, the screenshot should be OF the secret, not necessarily the location of the secret. Second, I WILL tell you that is not the correct area for the secret.

Hmm... I was never particularly good with riddles. If I had the mindset of Alice Liddell then I suppose I'd have no real trouble as puzzles, games and riddles most of all, were her forte. Although now I might have an inkling. But I can't provide a screenshot cause I'm nowhere near there yet.

"In a place where the game seems to flow well" - Someplace with water in it.
"Sometimes your confidence will keep you from exploring more than you need to" - It must be a fork in the road or something where most people take a certain road, knowing that there's nothing in the other fork.
"I encourage you to keep your eye open" - Have Dracula's Eye equipped; it reveals secrets, hidden locations, and clues
"Hold on to your flask" - Have holy water equipped
"While you stand upright" - hold UP on the controller
"and tread forth" - the secret should present itself in front of you.

I'm thinking it's either at the right of the Rover Mansion entrance, or at the waterfall lake.  I've not reached the waterfall lake yet, though.

I have an idea of where it may be as well, but considering it's one of the very last areas in the game that you can visit, it would be an enormous hassle to play through the entire game for a screenshot.

Is it the marsh that you wind up at if you don't take the fork in the road to Dracula's Castle? The one that is a dead end, but has an invisible staircase (the secret?)

I'd love to go check there but the enemy placement and insta-death (now) spikes of Brahm's Mansion are preventing me from progressing.

I will give you another hint. This will be my last for a while. You do not have to go THAT far to unveil the secret. Also, this secret is not in the original game.

I wanted to check out the Lake again, but I did not have a Blue Crystal anymore, so I wasn't able to explore further.  Rats.

I found the hidden secret area in Castlevania 2 ReVamped, and man, is it awesome.
It's nothing that anyone would have expected, and it made playing through the entire game completely worth it. I've spelled out the details for uncovering it, and appended a screenshot of its exact entry point, within the spoiler area below.

Go to the top of the Ancient Dam area. Then, walk right throught the right-hand wall. Now, equip Dracula's Eyeball and the Holy Water. Now press up. Give my regards to Super Mario.
