Dracula X chronicles vs Ps1 Sotn

Hi everyone, I've undusted my PSP last night and after cherking the games on media go I would like to have you advises. I'm thinking about downloading Sotn but there is two version. The PS one classic that I've played in the past (10$ for dl) or the Dracula X version for (15$).
Is there any plus on the DXC version that is worth it other than Rondo of blood (im more the RPG type).
Any of you played the two versions and notice some differences that is worth paying extra 5$?

Thank you
...And the wolves they are howling that sweet but haunted song

The DXC version is the original Japanese version, but with re-recorded voice-overs and a playable Maria.  Some item placements were changed or taken out altogether for the US release, and the changed version is what you'll get with the PS Classics download.  The PS Classics also has the original dialogue.

Get DXC. It has playable maria, and it also fits the game to the PSP's screen size better than the downloaded original version.

Some item placements were changed, however I have yet to see what was taken out of the game.

Two familiars, a song, and a couple of items I believe.

One thing that was taken out was a holy sword.  Well, you can still get a holy sword, but there isn't one just lying out anymore.  In the PS1 version, there was a holy sword just lying there in a hidden room just above the room with the two pillars, but that was replaced with one of the new familiars.  Now the only way to get a holy sword is as a drop from the Vandal Swords in the Clock Tower of the first castle.

The one problem I have with the PSP (DXC) version is that while there are two new familiars, they're pretty much the same as two of the original game.  It's just that they have a slightly different appearance.  If you ask me, they are pointless.

PSP version is a pretty terrible port really. There is a bunch of new game crashing bugs like when you enter the succubus fight with either the N. Demon or Fairy equipped.  And the version of Maria added is fucking pathetic.  About the only thing that is really "better" is the voice acting but that is a matter of opinion.

tiers

1. Saturn - Despite Graohics, overall best. And for the rest of you AT LEAST IT DOES HAVE NEW CONTENT.
2. PSP - Okay.... Maria is a POS, Voice acting is better and worst...
3. Green Label - think of it as SOTN 1.1
4. Black Label / Download - Only get for collecting and Glitch abuse.

Yeah the holy sword isn't a problem for me since I knew where I could fight to get it. The other Fairy familiar doesn't sing that lullaby when Alucard sits in a chair though. The N. Demon just had a somewhat jokeable opening speech once activated. And unfortunately Maria's offensive powers were cut down to the point of nullability. While they changed her attacks to match those found in Rondo (which I think is far more true to her character) the power and strength behind them is just too weak. To this day I still have yet to finish the game with her. I had an easier time with Richter's play-through.

If you like rpgs better then you probably should go with the SotN because Dracula X Chronicle's port of this game is not the best, the only one I play is the remake because SotN and specially RoB ports are pretty bad. The shrilly colors and the screen ghosting kill my eyes.

Using my PSP2000 I've played DXC on a TV and that seemed to alleviate the issues regarding the blurriness ie shrilly colors and the screen ghost effects. I think it's only caused by the PSP's dot matrix screen as all the tiny squares are separated by black lines. This is not the case with a TV screen so it's easier on the eyes.

I didn't consider that possibility, thanks for the tip. I'll try it.
