Dear Castlevania fans,

For many years, callous Japanese businessmen have had a chokehold on the artistic spirit that fuels the game industry. Thus, Japan has largely fallen behind the west in terms of sales and quality. One of the men with the courage to speak out was Kenji Inafune, the creator of Megaman. Subsequently, Capcom responded by driving him out of his job, leading to the cancellation of all of his Megaman projects --including Legends 3.

What's happened at Capcom is not an isolated incident --the evidence of stingy investment and mismanagment is all around us. The cause for Legends 3 is bigger than Megaman or Capcom. This fight is about the heart and soul of a trend and profit obsessive industry that has clearly lost its way. Not only have loyal customers been taken for granted, but now hardcore fans are being callously ignored and disrespected.

Operation: Akumajo is proud to endorse 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3. I encourage all Castlevania fans to join this worthy cause. If hardcore gamers around the world can unite, we'll make an example of Capcom, forcing companies like Konami to take notice and engage their fans.

While I appreciate your philosophy, this is somewhat late...like, three months late.

Not really.  Now that the furor has died down, and the press attention has passed --they're struggling to get halfway to their goal.  NOW is when they need our support the most.

Companies don't care about votes, or just how devoted some of the fandom can be.  They care about profits.  If you really want to send a message to game makers, do it with your ca$h.  It's sales which dictate what direction they go in.

When Mega Man 9 hit the virtual console, the sales raised a lot of eyebrows and influenced decisions to make more retro games.  That's the kind of stuff they really notice.

It was fan demand that got Marvel vs. Capcom 3 made. It was fan demand that got Phoenix Wright included in UMvC3. It was fan demand that got MML3 started, and it'll be fan demand that gets it resurrected.

Correct you are good sir --profits rule the roost.  But if takes an all-out boycott to get Capcom's attention, then what?  There's no telling what kind of assinine decision's the suits will make in a crisis.  That's why fans are needed to step in, show them where they went wrong, and set them straight.

Couldn't have said it better, but I will add just one more thing.  More men like Inafune are needed --men that actually give a damn about their art and pay attention to what the fans are saying.

Did not Inafune say at one point that it was really difficult to get legends 3 to start production in the first place and with him leaving the company it seems that it is dead it would be cool to give support since MM is one of my favorites but we are dealing with a whole different capcom at the moment it seems like they never wanted this to happen, and speaking of MM do you think operation moonfall would be willing to help Mega Man at the moment kain if that would help?
