Topic: So is nobody playing Arkham City?

I thought there would have been a topic about this by now.  I've played about the first two hours of Batman: Arkham City, and it's fantastic.  I knew it would be, but for some reason, the screenshots made it look like it would be taking a different direction from Arkham Asylum somehow.  I guess maybe the big open-world thing had me a bit worried, but it really doesn't feel too different from Arkham Asylum at all, and that's a very good thing.  The Catwoman parts are nice too.  The most striking thing that I remember from Arkham Asylum was how well they made you FEEL like you were Batman.  And with Arkham City, they make you feel like you're Catwoman during her segments.  It's really a very polished game.  Obviously a huge amount of work went into it.  Even at this early stage, the sheer amount and depth to the sidequests is staggering.

No, busy with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection unlocking stuff on there and enjoying Ristar up to the music puzzle type platform stage (it's a weird weird little game, yet quite good). Unfortunately I don't last long.

As for Arkham City, I hang out in a few IRC channels, seems a few folks are hyped for this one.

Nope, hated Detective mode with the passion of several suns. So I will probably skip out and maybe watch a friend play or play abit here and there if I get the chance.

Would have posted sooner, but I've been busy doing nothing but playing Arkham City.

Without a doubt, if you even remotely enjoyed AA, you'll love AC. Game is simply vast compared to its predecessor.

Finally beat it late last night, and WOW what a story. I was blown away.

And even though I've beaten it, there is still an enormous amount of things to do, including finding all the riddler trophies and challenges, as well as several story elements involving different characters. Not to mention the Combat and Predator challenges.

Seriously, there's so much to do in this game it feel like two games.

I'm excited to play it but I have my money put away for Uncharted 3 so Arkham is going to have to wait a little. This is the best and worst time of year for me so many games, not enough cash for them all!

Heh, I hear that.  For me, it's more that there's so many games and no time to play them all. Within just a few weeks we've gotten the God of War Origins collection, Team Ico collection, CV:HoD PS3, Aliens: Infestation, and Batman: Arkham City.  I've only had time to beat Aliens: Infestation and play somewhat of the others, and I've been doing way more gaming in that time than in the past year.

I seriously want this. But it's going to have to wait until I get the money to sort out my PC with a quad-core chip and more RAM. And Better cooling. So yep, basically a whole new rig. ARGH. I so wanna be Batman. Ah well, Asylum still works out on this.

I've already beat the game like 4 days ago.

I played it for a while afterwards and then just decided to wait for the New Costumes,Robin and Nightwing DLC to finally come out before getting back into it and start unlocking more challenge maps.
