Castlevania: The First Few Minutes (Live Action)

Found this I wonder what you guys and gals think of this. I like the fact that they are at least taking a crack at it and I will wait with what they will have to offer later on but it is no mortal kombat legacy by anymeans.

YUCK!!!! While it does seem faithful to what CV is, the battle effects seem lame.  I get the feeling that it is low budget and while the story may be faithful, the execution is going to be bad.  At least, that is what I've gathered thus far from that 8 minute clip.

It's somewhat good as far as a fan-made project. Has some good editing here and there. I'm kinda mixed about it, though. Hmm... I assume there's going to be more episodes? Maybe it'll get better as it progresses.

It is low budget it is machinima after all but who knows a low budget may lead to something creative yet it is only the first eight minutes let's see what happens later on (yet if it can have some big old hams on a plate or from a wall then I will be hooked like a fish).

tone down the brightness on some of those attacks.

It was hard to understand the vampire chick really, though the accent was kinda sexy.

"You have no Idea... How much I enjoy whipping your filth..."

I cant help but crack up every time I even think the line.

And yeah the shots arent too great so far. Though for a low budget deal, I still expect it will be cool.

Heeeeeey.... You know who should make a live action fan vania movie?

Eddie Lebron, the guy who made the fanmade Live action Mega Man movie.

Hmm. It's not too bad, but it's not that good either. The one thing that I seriously question is how the hell did that vampire chick grab hold of the vampirekiller and not get hurt?! No vampire (or any undead creature for that matter) can ever lay their hands on such a holistic weapon and walk away unscathed. I think whomever wrote the script should do a little more research next time. And personally I'd have the Belmont actor use a spike ball chain whip rather then a leather one just to make the weapon pass off as the vampirekiller. It doesn't have to be made of real metal as that would be a little too heavy and dangerous if swung, but it should be made to look convincing.

A leather whip is plenty convincing. Its spent half the time as one after all.

Dunno about that
I remember spending a lot more time using the vampirekillers chain form than it's much weaker leather one in the classic games, Portrait of ruin's vampirekiller isn't leather, and when Rondo ditched whip upgrades it was the chain whip that they kept not the leather one.

I'd say that in game the vampire killer is more frequently shown as a spike ball & chain whip while outside of the games (in artwork and such) it is more commonly depicted as leather, probably because a leather whip is a heck of a lot easier to draw & use.

In regards to the video
I found it's portrayal of the Belmont clan to be pretty stupid. If the Belmont clan didn't care one bit about the rest of mankinds fate then their sole motivation for fighting Dracula would be because one of their long dead relatives told them too, which on it's own is kind of a pathetic.

Vampire Killer is Always Leather...

In the Official Artwork...

yet always Chain in the Games....

Question is, when will there be anyone that Actually knows how to use a whip in the castlevania universe
because a Leather whip is both more effective and lethal than a Chain one.
When will we ever get disarming and using the handle as a club?

You people need to stop hotlinking.

Besides it's useless, since instead of pictures there are "hotlinking not allowed" signs.
