Positives- Leon and Chris FINALLY in a game together. Zombies and classic BOWs return. And the dark settings of of the city return.

Negatives- Looks to much like RE5 and looks far to flashy and "actiony" for a Resident evil title. needs alot  more horror rather than action.

And thats all I have to say...

To your positives: I think it'd be funny if Chris and Leon don't even meet each other (Leon's in an American city called Tall Oaks, and Chris is in China).

To your negatives: There are (at least) three playable stories in the game according to some sources which I'm too lazy to cite. Leon's story emphasizes horror (for the old-school fans), and Chris's story emphasizes action (for the fans that joined with RE 4 and 5). Starkiller's (that's what I'm calling this new guy), well... I have no idea what his'll be about.

On another note: I think it's funny that Beards (the guy with Chris in the trailer) has no beard. Starkiller is speculated to be Alex Wesker (due to his injections and superhuman-like strength) and for some unexplained reason, they think the girl with Starkiller is Ashley (other speculations have her being Sherry).

Yea I noticed that Chris's part looked ALOT more action oriented while Leon's looks more akin to RE2 (which is great). The mystery guys's story seems to be trying to reach a "middle ground between the two I suppose. I guess I am just going to have to dread playing Chris's side of the story. Its going to be such a slap in the face to go from horror to a freaken action movie in a Resident Evil game. Chris is fighting Mercenaries, has a entire team with him, and has a FREAKEN TANK! Definitely going to hate his side of the game if its all about action.

Why the hell couldn't Capcom just make a game for "action" with Chris as the star and Leon the star of the horror one? That would be alot better than forcing the "new fans" who love the new style of Resident evl games to play through Leon's part of the game (horror) and force classic fans of the survival horror Resident Evil games to suffer through Chris's action packed adventure.

And on another note.

I think the mystery guy is Steve Burnside. Look at his hand during the trailer. It looks exactly like Steve's when he mutates in RECV. And he looks to be around the same age Steve would be around that time and he even has the same hair color.

I guess this is a chose your own poison kind of situation  but yeah I like the horror aspect more.

If it's multiple stories (a la Resident Evil 2), then just don't play the story you don't want to play. Besides, Chris is a member of a military. It kinda makes sense he'd have people with him. Besides, he said: "How many of my men died because of that BITCH?!?!?!" which probably means that his men are going to... well, die.

I think what the RE team is trying to do is not be like Dead Rising, and release multiple games just cuz someone wants to play as a certain character (DR2 for Chuck, and DR2:OtR for Frank). It's a waste to make two separate games for the characters when it's just as easy to put them in the same. Their stories intertwine in some way anyway.

Capcom's trying to cater to A) the fans of the classic games (RE1-3 and CV), and B) the fans of the action games (RE4 and 5). I honestly like both sides, so I ain't complainin'.

And on that, it was already confirmed there will be several characters, as well as co-op. Leon has his partner Helena, Chris has Beards, and Starkiller has "Ashley". Ada was confirmed to be playable later on. It was said there will be more characters.

As for Starkiller, I thought it was possible that it was Steve. That'd be nice, but I don't think it's likely.

1.You obviously missed my point. i was not simply saying Capcom should just make a game for separate characters. They should make a game for separate GAMEPLAY ASPECTS. Its obvious they are aiming for 2 different types of gameplay appeal in one game. Why make it a hassle for players to play though a part of the story they do not want to?

2.And sorry but the RE2 comparison seems unlikely since Capcom confirmed that the stories will "overlap" at somepoint which means that that all the stories will come together at some point which eliminates the option of just playing a story and avoiding the one you do not want to.

3.How is it "unlikely" that its not Steve but "likely" that it is Alex? we know next to nothing about Alex other than the fact that he is a Wesker child. And the injection thing seems to be grasping at straws IMO. I could point out a couple reasons why it could be steve such as

- His hand looks identical to Steve's when he mutates in RECV (don't believe me look it up).
- He looks to be around the same age Steve would be around that time (which is around 27)
- He has the same hair color that Steve has
- He apparently has experience with fighting BOWs and zombies judging by how he was talking in the trailer.
- He mentions his blood is important. Steve was confirmed to be "special" by Wesker and was shown to have some sort of immunity to the T Veronica virus. If the virus in this game is some form of a T Veronica variant virus then his blood could produce a antibody for it.

You see? I could name alot of reasons as to how this guy could be Steve. But the only argument I have seen for Alex is the "injection stuff" which could easily just be Steve injecting himself with something so he doesn't mutate (which is evidenced by the hand).

To your 1: Forgive me for missing your point. I do miss details of arguments sometimes.

To your 2: Just because they intertwine in some way doesn't mean the characters will actually meet. While it is very possible, they are on separate parts of the world.

To your 3: Never once did I personally say it was Alex, dudelaw. I only mentioned earlier that it was speculated by fans, not by me. Don't go sounding so critical before actually taking into account what I'm saying. It's far more likely to be Steve, but it's far more speculated to be Alex. Though I do notice most people don't notice the things you pointed out. Good eye there, man. That's stuff I didn't even catch.

Leon's part looks sweet, like Resident Evil's 1 through 4 good. Something tells me that his segments will be the best parts of the game.

Chris's part reminds me of RE5, not a good sign.

Mystery dude(Alex Wesker?) part I am mixed on.

Until I see more I will remain cautionly optomistic cause RE5 really burned me, though RE Revelations does seem like a glimmer of hope that Capcom can still do it.

Until now, I didn't realize there was a Resident Evil 6 in the works.  I assumed fans were referring to Operation Raccoon City when they mentioned RE6.  I'm somewhat interested in this, certainly much more than in Operation Raccoon City.  RE5 just didn't appeal to me like RE 1-4.

That's definitely Ashley towards the end.  It looks just like her, and the voice actress is the same.

Hit the nail on the head man. I agree 100%. Let's hope new info arises that makes the game look more pleasing. Until then I'll be rocking out with revelations on my 3DS

It just keeps going more action than horror, i too miss the old action horror from the series, Leon's story is looking good, but Chri's........just to flashy. R.E.5 was having very nice graphics, but it didn't have that dark mood and it was to bright. Now the downloadable story inside the spencer mansion with Jill and Chri's, that was real cool and scary. I wish that the R.E.6 was more like that, than action.

Pffttt...
Capcom trying to cater to both parts of the fanbase at the same time, instead of making just another action game in vein of RE5, and people complain about that?!
It seems the soul of the "fan" is a mistery afterall. Mistery that mostly doesn't make sense.

Pffttt back at you.

I never said that they did not have to try to cater to both the fans.

And they even have a "action oriented" Resident Evil title coming out in a month or 2 which is called Resident Evil Operation Racoon City.

They have already "catered" to the action side IMO. So why the hell could they just simply leave the action stuff alone with RE6? Or atleast make another action one that is separate from the other one. It should not be a "chore" to play through a part of a game that you do not want to. By adding something that classic fans do not like to part of the story and something that new fans know nothing/don't care about only makes it a hassle to have to go through the entire game.

Sometimes I swear you just go around the forums to TRY and start arguments...
