Are there any pictures of the old forums? Is there a way to still acces it in an archive or something? I'm kind of curious about this lost piece of Castlevania fandom history.  :P

Huh. I don't ever remember the Dungeon Forums looking like that. Must have been during my 6 to 7 year absence.

If there are any information about where Castlevania Dungeon was hosted before, earlier versions could possibly be found via Wayback Machine.

Damn, I had forgotten about that place. Didn't realize until now that I still have more posts over there than I do over here. Weird.

at least irrelevant advertisements are no longer here to try to distract the castlevania environment of this forums, we'll probably ignore them anyways

I still remember the Forumplanet days... our board colors were the default white/green/black for years.

You can probably access it using the wayback machine. Castlevania forums were a lot more fun back in the day. A lot more interesting personalities and personality interactions, and a stronger sense of community. But, then, I think more interesting things were going on with Castlevania at the time, and it was more the age of forums as a medium, which have taken a hit from social networking. Fan forums especially have had it harder, I think, due to competition from big corporations, like Game Spot and IGN.

Now, here, it seems like no one really knows or cares about anyone, and my own forum is full of elitists who circle jerk to Demon's Souls while bemoaning everything and everyone in a hidden chat.

pfft, you got that right. even though I try to do my part & keep things interesting.. it's just not the same anymore. I'm certain that some dark force was behind Maria's transformation, but it doesn't matter now.

I remember posting on the CVD before The Great Purpling. I think my first post was like 'WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF SIMON WAS IN ANOTHER GAME?!' because I was very original with my thoughts. That was also where I first encountered Successor-sama and thought Gunlord was a girl.
