Does anyone happen to know what the title of the song that plays during the credits/ending of the EU version of the game is?

http://downloads.khinsider.com/ Check out that site. It has a lot of video game soundtracks you can download, including some R-Type final. If my hard drive wasn't messed up I'd download some of the tracks and help you pin point your answer.

Thanks, I know that site. Unfortunately all they have is the official OST which was only released for the Japanese version so it doesn't include the Blue Man Group song used in the NA version or the one used in the EU version.

Here's a youtube video with the song in question:

It is called 'Piano Smasher' by Blue Man Group. Hope you can find a free download.

Shoot, I'm sorry, that's the US version. And you probably knew that already... Shoot, I tried looking around a little through Google, and it seems to be a tough bit of info to find. I'll be sure to post if I find it though, as it's got me wondering now.

Here's another one. Half the tracks in the R-Type 3 soundtrack seem to be missing their titles. Haven't had any luck finding an official ost tracklist and I don't think there was ever an album. Anyone have any ideas?
