The Goonies game series is a bit of an enigma for me. We have the movie and the game Goonies II, but we don't have the first game...why is that? Did Konami get stingy with it in terms of finance? Was it due to movie rights during that time? Or did they think the first game was a bad idea and left it abroad while the sequel received the go-ahead because it was much better? I don't know really. I liked the movie and it was a nice (though a little cheesy in some parts) mystery romp in a quiet sea-side town with a privateer-esque past. I also enjoyed the comedic parts as well

If anything the movie was a better mystery flick the say the Scoobie-Doo movies.
