I'd say 3DS because I'm getting one for RE Revelations at some point.

And if it's a 3D game, just put it on a console.

I've been playing Revelations and it is really good. It has a nice blend old school RE elements mixed with the new.  Definitely a system seller IMO.

I'm biased towards the 3DS, since i have one.

That's exactly the case with me as well. To be honest, I don't care what it is, as long as it's Castlevania.

3DS and why? Simply put Tales of the abyss that is one of the main reasons if not main THE reason why I got a 3ds and to be blunt I will not be satisfied with just a 2d vania when konami has a big chance to make the an incredible action series on the 3ds with 3d action I love 2d make no mistake, but at the sametime I am tired of 2d castlevania I do not want another 2d adventure.

If it's 2D, I want it on Vita, since the OLED will benefit the graphics (just look at Rayman Origins, shit is soooo cash).

If it's 3D, Vita too. =P

But if they announce it on 3DS I would get one just for it, I don't care.

If you want a castlevania game on a handheld your best option is always going to be a nintendo handheld. Think about this for a moment. How many castlevania games were released on every nintendo handheld? And how many castlevania games were released for other handhelds combined? And how much better were the castlevania games on the nintendo handhelds than the other handhelds?
Sorry, but such statement is quite...invalid, since to my knowledge there were only two handheld Castlevanias not on the Nintendo console - Tiger port of SOTN (whichs was unreleased) and Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, which many people liked and presumed that is should be the new possible direction for the series (as in 2,5D style of graphics, not classicvania gameplay).
So without solid numbers to back you off, your statement is futile.

Personally I'd like to see new "metroidvania" or "classicvania" game on 3DS and Vita should get something more ambitious. Maybe like another 2,5D game or even a full Third Person Action Castlevania.

Man, the Tiger handheld SotN is probably the most mysterious of Castlevania games. I'd like to play it, despite it being a severely downgraded, black-and-white port.

Yes I am a troll because my opinion is different than your. Truly that is the definition of trolling right?

No.

Trolling is when you say something intentionally that you know is going to get a rise out of members such as a bold (and untrue) statement that the PS2 did not have a good line up.

One of the things PS2 was known for by millions of fans was its huge lineup that was bigger than even the Gamecube and Xbox.

Don't believe me go and look it up.

The only big series that Nintendo actually had that Sony did not was the mario, zelda, smash brothers, and metroid series.

If you where looking for those types of games than the PS2 weren't for you.

But if you where looking for

Tekken series
Grand Theft Auto series
Castlevania series
Devil May Cry series
Metal gear solid series
God of War series

Than the ps2 was the only place at the time to find them.

But whatever,

I won't be replying to you anymore so please feel free to ramble on about how your not a troll.

3DS, simply because I don't want to have to buy another system.

Truth to be told, MGS, GTA and DMC were also sporadically released on PC and X-Box. MGS became solely Sony exclisive only after MGS2. However PS2 had many other appreciated series and titles, like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus.

MGS on the 3DS looks sweet, although I have issues seeing the enemies on it. The 3D aspect of it though is very nice, I thought.

Castlevania doesn't have to be in 3D to be on the 3DS and still make use of the hardware. Now, I agree the Vita would do a 2D or 2.5D Castlevania great justice because of the better colors. But at the same time, the 2.5D aspect, or even 3D aspect if they went that route, wouldn't be as impressive. Sure, the colors are nicer, but you lose the true sense of depth. Shinobi and the cutscenes from Ghost Recon on the 3DS (I wish Shinobi used 3D on their cutscenes and not just in-game) are 2D but look good in 3D, because in 2D mode it looks like it's all drawn on one plane, but when you switch to 3D mode you find out it's drawn across multiple planes. It's very well done on Ghost Recon.

And another thing I noticed yesterday in Ghost Recon - if you play in 2D mode, you can't see the clouds passing over the field. When you switch on 3D mode, moving clouds appear.

I gave my opinion but I backed it up with facts. 6 games vs 1 I think the nintendo hardware is a better choice for future castlevania games. My opinion of sony vs nintendo aside. Happy?

By that shitty logic, SotN should never have been made.  Just about all the CVs before that time were on Nintendo platforms.  Thank God you weren't a Konami advisor.
