I plan on getting this with a circle pad pro, although my strong hands woun't mind a workout with stylus controls (Ironically, I like Metroid prime hunters and Star fox command).

My 3ds has been collecting some dust lately (went back to psp/ lightwieght PC)

FYI - the circle pad pro support for this game does not give you dual analog control. You still have to use the stylus.  All it does is make the game more playable for lefties.

Actually he banters with everyone who talks, haha.  Medusa sounds smexy... but I've heard her voice actress before.
She sounds a bit like Cree Summer, but so does Pandora. Palutena's voice is pretty cute. She cheers Pit on and rags on him equally as much, and it's adorable. Love when she commended him for being brave, and said, "Remember when you used to be, like, 'Oh, I'm finished!'." and Pit says, "I still say that!".  ;D I think Palutena is voiced by Ali Hillis, who does Lightning for FFXIII. Stark contrast, IMO(she so serious as Lightning, you'd never think that same voice could be equally as bubbly). She sounds so adorable poking fun at Pit!

And while I agree, there are some problems(my wrist gets sore a bit), I think think the 3D flight segments flip with my eyes. It's gotten to the point where I turn off the 3D while beginning each chapter, because SO much stuff is happening(it BEAUTIFUL to look at, and amazing to see the 3DS do such things), in 3D, it's EYE-MELTING. I almost feel like that dude who had to stay awake at the end of the Langoliers to pilot through the Aurora Borealis. When you look at it as you pass through it, you vanish/die. "It's SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL". It feels like that(like I wasn't meant to see it, like looking into the Ark of the Covenant).

I got this game today and it's really fun, Im just so disappointed by the lack of good circle pad pro controls. I was hoping I could play without the stylus and now I'm just trying to figure out the best control style to use. Any suggestions?
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I just stick with the default and use the stand.  I play on my bed (!).

Also, those of you with "Nintendo Video" should check out the "Palutena's Revolting Dinner" animated videos on there.  Pretty good stuff.

I'm getting better at the controls, thankfully.  When they say 'flick' the control pad, they actually mean it.  The dashing and dodging is coming easier now by actually lifting my thumb off the circle pad and basically whacking it in the direction I want to dash/dodge.
The wrist pain is getting better if I sit with my knees completely bent in front of me, resting the 3DS on my knees.  Now my knees hurt a little because I'm old, but at least it's more comfortable than the positions I was trying before.
I still have hate for turning the camera with the stylus though, especially in multiplayer.  It's just not fun to have to put that much effort into simply facing your opponent.  I get 1st place about half of the time in free-for-all, but it feels like I'm adapting my style with strategies geared towards having the most luck vs. the precision I would rather have.

Also - for those who are trying to collect all the AR cards:  I found a scan of the Three Sacred Treasures card:
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/guide/29607
I printed and scanned it, works fine.  That's the only card that I'm going to cheat on because I really don't think I have a chance of ever getting one.  It's just too rare - only 250 as far as I know.  They were handed out a Nintendo World on launch day.  Even if one does show up on ebay, I'm guessing it will be way too expensive to buy.  I've spent about $180 on the cards so far and I have 108 of them.

Ok more companies need to make games like this game.
I haven't been able to put it down (though the game reminds me to 'take a break' occasionally).

The music is so great, as is the voice acting and gameplay.
I've gotten used to the camera control by now, and have nice 247 weapon with 4/5 range and 2 Melee. :D

There's so much game, too.  Really feel like I got my money's worth, here.

I love this game, but then again, I also love the games like it. Check out the Panzer Dragoon games on Sega Saturn and Xbox if you like this game, same style and cinematic flair.

Yeah I compared it to it in the start of this thread.

There are definitely some references thrown in (and not just with the dialogue, which throws a slew of 'em at you):
-One of the stages reminds me a lot of old StarFox SNES (complete with technicolor polygons).
-Definitely a Death Star Stage.  I was waiting for a "That's no moon, it's a space station!" quote (but I didn't get it).
...and more but I don't remember 'em right now.

I just beat the game last night.  There's soooo much content!

Also, just learned from the ending (I'm late to the party) the music composers from it.  What an All-Star cast! It explains a lot!

Motoi Sakuraba: Tales of, Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Baten Kaitos, Dark Souls, Golden Sun
Yuzo Koshiro: Streets of Rage, ActRaiser, Shinobi, Etrian Odyssey
Masafumi Takada: Killer7, No More Heroes, God Hand
Noriyuki Iwadare: Lunar, Grandia, Radiata Stories
Yasunori Mitsuda: Chrono Trigger/Cross, Xenogears, Shadow Hearts

Definitely explains why the music is so damn awesome.  The arranged old tunes are just topnotch.

Not surprised by the quality of the composers, the soundtrack was absolutely top notch, especially the tiny nuances that refer to past Kid Icarus songs.

All of them and Motoi Freaking Sakuraba I don't know what to say this game seems to be gaming perfection except for the control but come on chrono trigger, tales of, xenogears, and streets of rage hell can it get any better than this?
