I thought you meant the Famicom or SNES game. :(

I haven't played any of the 3D Ninja Gaidens. And aren't they called something like Ninja Gaiden Shadow or something?

Ninja Gaiden Shadow was for the original Gameboy. The PS3 versions are as follows: Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Ninja Gaiden 3. Sorry for not making it clear the first time around, my bad  ;D

Is it more difficult than NG2 though?I loved how some enemies beat the crap out of Ryu at Master Ninja.

The difficulty all depends really. In some cases you may find yourself breezing right through a segment, then BAM! You get your @$$ handed to you and that's when you wish you had a life potion on hand.
