Anybody else excited?

I've been playing Diablo games since the original I was 7. 3 comes out tomorrow, and I am PUMPED! I'm going to start by playing as a monk character. My Battletag is BluLeviathan#1716.

I probably need a new computer first. Ghostbusters plays sooo slowly on my computer and that game is years older.

I'm sure I'll get it at some point but I'm trying to save money to move.

My first computer only had 256k RAM and I couldn't play Diablo II. Then I upgraded the ram to 512k and it worked, but by then all my Diablo II buddies were gone, having graduated before me and moved on.

I know my laptop can play WoW, but my desktop plays it only slightly better. So i'm not too sure. I might buy it and try it out, but what's the fun of playing with dumbed down graphics?

I'm not terribly excited for the game myself. While I loved the first two—especially the first—I can't bring myself to get excited for something that isn't even being made by the same people. Seems like, creatively, Blizzard now consists of...none of the people who made them so great.

And much like how it just isn't Silent Hill without Akira Yamaoka, it just isn't Diablo without Matt Uelmen.

Diablo - Dungeon (music)

Eventually when I get my own computer, I'm sure I'll pick up Diablo III on the cheap.

Yeah, I'm admittedly a little put off by that too. I'm picking my copy up today though. Oh, and that music just brings back so many great memories! I woke up with the Tristram song stuck in my head.

From what I gather from Facebook, servers were unable to handle the game last night. I'm not surprised. That's one reason I didn't bother to get it on midnight release.  Seriously, why does SINGLE PLAYER have to be connected to the internet? Yeah, I know they have the "Auction House" which I may or may not use. There should at least be the OPTION to play without internet, even if it takes away from some of the features. Oh well. Hopefully everything will be functional around 9:30 today when I give the game a whirl.

the servers didnt even come up til 2am my time and they were SLAMMED. I sat there for 30min tryin to login and all I saw was "server is busy" over and over then 1 outta 20 or so tries Id get to authenticate and itd time out. I got to char creation once and as soon as I submitted my name it timed out again and I had to start over with the loggin in.

At 230 I said fuck it and went to sleep. I expected more from Blizzard with their past record. It wasnt that hard to log into WoW after Cataclysm launched...

I did get to play finally for about 30min this mornin before work. Not a huge deal tho since I was in the beta but still its gonna be a long day waitin to get home to play lol

DRM is the reason most people would probably just pirate the game, at least they'll have the freedom to play without DRM

I've been playing a little over an hour now, and I got kicked out of my own game because they're performing server maintenence.

Requiring connection to battle.net servers is just silly. They should have a separate battle.not options meni, since the auction house isn't even available mid-game. Ugh. Oh well. It's cool to see Deckard Cain again. The old tristram ruins kind of aren't shaped like old Tristram, but whatevz. So far from what I've played it's pretty neat.

DRM can suck my fat, sweaty nads. It punishes those who actually pay for the game, and pirates will pirate it anyway.

I couldn't play Duke Nukem Forever a few weeks back because Steam told me the game was currently unavailable. I bought the fecking game and should be allowed to play it whenever I want...
