I'm about to watch it, since it is about to start (in one minute).

Saw the LoS2 Logo and a big flaming whip circular attack (for a split second).
In 9 minutes, new Castlevania in the show.

Awesome trailer.

Gabriel's arms can project a Hellfire FlameWhip.
He appears to be fighting an army of humans.

Then, there appears to be a living tower golem (as if a tower was 'alive').
He sucks the blood from one of the warriors in armor fighting him.  The warrior dies, drained of life.

Then, after all of that happens, a figure appears behind him.

This figure has platinum blonde flowing hair, with locks flowing in the wind.
And appears to be wearing a familiar frock coat, and wields a sword.

The final shot shows Gabriel and his hellfire-whip against this person with a longsword.
It appears to look like Alucard.

Here's what I was able to catch with my camera (apologies for the quick pix quality):

Unfortunately, I couldn't catch the Blonde person... they were on the screen for barely three seconds. :(

Here's the Youtube link.

Konami - Pre E3 Show 2012

LoS2 starts roughly at 28:40. It looks cool, but it gives no idea as to how it will play (except that, because of the Tower Golem, Titan bosses are likely returning).

There is also a lame teaser for MoF, which I'm far more excited about at the moment.

Oh hey look, Alucard.

I have to admit that cutscene looked pretty badass. Too bad no gameplay, but, I assume that's for E3 itself. I do think it is a little unsettling to see Gabcula use a whip still though. Dracula using a whip just seems wrong. Also the titan was really dumb. I'm beginning to think they haven't learned their lessons.

What I love about this trailer is that it shows how fucked up Gabriel became after LoS. I mean, we saw it in the ending of LoS, but this time we get a better idea of exactly how mad he has become. It's so... tragic. He was a nice person once, after all. And he still looks like himself. Makes me wanna scream at him: "GABRIEL! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE SOMEWHERE! YOU ARE A GOOD MAN! YOU ARE AS GOD INTENDED" etc etc. :( The evil little smirk in the end (when he sees Alucard) almost made me shed a tear.

(Oh, and he's hot too. I'd let him... do things... to me. Though I'd make him cut his finger nails first. They're nasty.)

Just caught the trailer. Honestly, if this is the tone that MercurySteam is going for, I'm OK with it. It could be much worse. Gabe looks like Dracula enough that I'm willing to let his Twilight fanservice slide (where is it written that the lord of darkness must bare his sexy abs at all times?) and I like the idea that Alucard (?) has to defeat him. The art style looks fine, at least it's nice and dark. That tower golem does seem to imply the return of quick-time-event boss battles, which I'm not terribly excited about, but who knows? Maybe there will be a new twist to them this time around.

I agree that seeing Dracula with the Vampire Killer seems all kinds of backwards. I wonder if you wind up playing as Gabe?

I'll reserve most of my judgement until I see some gameplay. But, we're off to a good start.

I have to mirror the sentiments of Gabula having a whip-like attack method. I was afraid of something like that when I heard he would become Drac, but I felt better when he destroyed the Combat Cross. Now... I dunno. :/
I hope that was just for a single cut scene. If we play as Gabe, I'd much prefer to have a completely different play style from LoS1 with a greater emphasis on his vampiric/demonic powers. As Alucard(?), I expect something new as well.
I do like the new tone they seem to have set here. It already "feels" much more like the tone I expect from Castlevania.

EDIT: Gabula is looking much more Drac-like and that is very welcome.
