Topic: So, where are those new Contras from Konami?

Contra for 3DS has been listed since before the system came out as far as I can recall, and last year's E3 went out of its way to tease a Next-Gen Contra with a flaming "C" logo. So, while the Castlevania news is intriguing and exciting in its own right, what happened to Konami's work with Contra that was announced publicly prior to any of this LoS news?

Nintendo Power has listed the 3DS Contra for quite some time. Haven't gotten the latest issue yet to see if it's still on there in print this month, but NintendoPower.com/polls still lists it there to this day.

As for the Next-Gen Contra, it was teased at E3 2011, and was said to be a LoS-style reboot for PS3 and XBOX360. Most of the news/speculation around that particular game has disappeared. I wonder if it was cancelled? Some seem to think so.

I was wondering if we'd hear more about this, too.

Are they going to reveal anything more than just Mirror of Fate on Tuesday? I just assumed they'd have a press conference at E3 where they'd talk about MoF and other things, separate from their pre-E3 conference last night. But I can't find any info that would suggest that, so I guess I was incorrect.

Maybe Konami is choosing it's battles when cv is done then next on the list is to bring back is the other big c
