Well I never actually read all this yet, but I figured Jorge or other 2D enthusisits might like this for their own fangames,
its basicly an instruction set how to make FM music for a sonic game, If Im correct the same songs could be ported to bloodlines since its just a bunch of numbers, im not sure myself but It should prove useful

first few lines:

After speaking with a lot of users who have had trouble understanding the SCHG SMPS music guide, I felt that a step by step guide would be more suited to the solution.  This guide will teach you how to make music in a Sonic 1 rom using a hex editor.

And a quick thanks to the SCHG SMPS music guide (links removed) (and the contributors who’s names are on that page), for the SMPS information which will be used in places in this tutorial.

So let’s begin…

Part 01 – Requirements

This is what you’ll need (Search the internet for them):

A Megadrive/Genesis Emulator:

Any will do, most users prefer Kega Fusion, some prefer Gens, but you can use anyone you like as long as it plays music and sound.

A Sonic The Hedgehog Rom:

Rev 01, and must be in .BIN, not .SMD, if yours says .GEN then that should be fine too.

A Hexadecimal Editor:

Again, anyone will do, I will be using one called “Hex”, though you might not find this on the internet anywhere considering it’s more than 10 years old, most people however prefer Hex Workshop which is generally easy to find.

I need it even simpler than that.
Can someone just write a program that does it?  I love to write music but I hate fuckin' coding.  And Hex-editing.

I know what you mean, so far,  you've been the closest for genesis music, I see these numbers and my mind goes, wha...i can redo midis and turn them into snyth music no issue, but actual hard coding the music as a hex, thats just...mind numbing, but I figured Id share this info with the community, someone might find a use
