He says "I like the game, i like the intellectual property, i like everything about it.." but he doesn't clarify WHICH game

If him & his team were to just play LoS, then they'd finally realize there's no need for a big budget live-action movie

I still have a draft of the screenplay if anyone wants it. It's from 2006.

Keep that guy away from Castlevania.

I don't want to watch a move about his wife proving how much better she is than the Belmont clan.

Oh no, I was hoping he forgot about it and moved on.
Would you like to add "Medusa" snake-hair on your pizza?

Milla Jovovich as either Sonia Belmont or Maria Renard. Calling it.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

That's great. Now here are my thoughts - no thanks.

Unless it's written by the same hacks who did the first Street Fighter movie, in which case it might be hilarious.

Yeah putting money on his wife Mary Sue starring as the surviving girlfriend of the Belmont who has to absorb the VK's power after whatever Belmont gets killed and forces her to finish it. And of course movie will end with her being pregnant or some shit in a vain attempt at a "deep, moving" story of a grieving pregnant woman continuing humanity's hope all by her lonesome self.

And half the forum will ritualistically commit seppeku.

I really don't care one way or the other if he makes the thing, 'cause by virtue of it being his, I'm not touching it with a ten foot pole.

Actually that's what George Romero, the father of the modern zombie genre, did when he was set to make the Resident Evil movie. And his script was far more faithful than the one we wound up with. Anderson comes off more like someone started to describe the plot to him and he cut them off after 15 seconds "Zombies secret base yaddyadda I got it." At least fans have the Biohazard 2 commercials Romero made.

Only reason MK didn't blow junks was because it was already a lighthearted send-up of every kung fu cliche known to man. With a barely-there plot to start with.

I don't think his wife likes her Mary-Sue characters to be tied down to anything so inconvenient as established canon or characters. He sure doesn't seem to like being tied by them in any other area of his movies. We're talking about a guy who's idea of "adaptation" is to make a move, roughly in the same genre (for the first entry anyway) with the same antagonists and a few familiar names slapped onto otherwise unrelated characters.

Even if he just wants to produce and not direct, I thoroughly expect any Castlevania movie he has a hand in to suck, it's only a question of how much.

Well, a MGS movie was announced today.

You know this is just going to make a Castlevania movie an even bigger possibility/option for Konami to consider now.
