Playstation Question

So my neighbors just moved away and left all their garbage out in front of the house, and called a garbage truck to pick it up. About a day before it got there, I noticed a box of old Playstation games. Only 5 of them had the CD in them, though, but I took them anyway (no castlevania games, sadly, but I got two Tomb Raider games, a Tony Hawk game, Crash Bandicoot and Frogger. Oh well.) Anyway, when I tried to save Tomb Raider Chronicles on my PS2 memory card (I don't own a PS1.) It said there was no memory card inserted in slot 1, but there was. Does this mean that I can't save PS1 games on a PS2 memory card, but they can still be played on the system? Do I need to buy a PS1 memory card to save those games? Are they compatable? I'm concerned, because I'm getting Castlevania Chronicles on Christmas, so...

Does it fit in the PS2?

Yeah I personally thought that was dumb of sony to make you save ps1 games on a ps1 memory card when you play them in a ps2, I lost all mine ages ago in all the moving around I've done in the last 10 years. Luckily most of the games I've beaten and have no desire to play again. Does anybody know if you need a ps1 memory card if you play ps1 games on the ps3?, does it let you save ps1 games to the HD, or does it not let you save w/out a ps1 card?

I'm not sure but I think you don't need a ps1 card to save.

Does anyone know if they sell used ps1 cards at Gamestop, because eBay and Amazon are such a hassle.

You can make a ps1 area in the ps3's internal memory (I typed mammory haha) so you don't need the cards. Im getting a ps3 partly because of this. My ps1 cards have no room. :'(

Anyone do anything bad with their ps1 cards? I left mine in my pants pocket and they got washed and dried. Funny thing is they smelt great and still work to this day.

Nowadays you are either a graphics whore or a fanboy. BR is Shank not CV. It is ridiculous to think that it is better than CV. If it was CV then it would be what RE4 is to Resi, a series killer. Dumb it down and make it look pretty. Enough idiots will buy it.
