That's right.  Julia could see into the future, couldn't she?  Perhaps it was one of her descendents; weren't she and Hector going to make some sort of safe-haven for dark-but-not-evil people in the mountains or something like that?
It's almost implied that Hector and Julia eventually become a couple(their interaction was more nudging that than Alucard and Maria, and we all know what became of that). Add on to the fact that Rosaly and Julia were like twins that weren't actually related. Though, it would be interesting to see a descendant of Hector and Julia, and what type of magical potential they possess.

Though, I do like the idea of Sara being the woman in the mist.

If anyone can get a hold of that guidebook and verify it, I'd be interested in knowing.

Also, I think I remember reading somewhere that she was mentioned in Judgment.
Im interested too and you are right, they mention this woman in Simon ending if I recall correctly

Anything is fine as long as it isn't played off as a random gypsy.

I don't see the problem with a random gypsy woman informing Romania's savior about an inflicted curse. Gypsies aren't just nomads or thieves, they are also a spiritual people. More-so back in medieval times and they were all over the Romanian lands. Being gifted with 'sight' the woman could easily see Simon's suffering very clearly even before he knew what was going on. Not everything in the CV universe has to be interconnected with other people from other games/origin stories etc. If it were Sera from LoI why talk to Simon only and nobody else of the Belmont clan? If it were Rosaly, why talk to Simon when she had absolutely no connections with him but had every connection with Hector? And if it were Julia why talk to Simon when she could envision the future and see that everything turned out alright for him in the end thus not needing to inform him from beyond the grave?

There's no NEED for it, but it would be much more interesting than a blatant plot device. Also...

If it were any random gypsy chick why talk to Simon only and nobody else of the Belmont clan? If it were any random gypsy chick, why talk to Simon when she had absolutely no connections with him but had every connection with her significant other? And if it were any dead random gypsy chick why talk to Simon when she could envision the future and see that everything turned out alright for him in the end thus not needing to inform him from beyond the grave?

I had totally forgot about the woman being mentioned in Simon's ending in Judgment. Acknowledging that was kind of cool.

Not necessarily since this 'blatant plot device' was a part of SQ long before IGA and his games came onto the scene.

Besides, all of this:

makes me feel like you're trying to take a stab at me. I hope that isn't the case as I do like having discussions with you.

Not necessarily since this 'blatant plot device' was a part of SQ long before IGA and his games came onto the scene.

Regardless they could have done more with her than just a quick plot device to explain how Simon even knew to go on a quest. For that, they could just as easily have had him have a vision in a crystal ball or read a prophecy in a book or any other number of things.

Besides, all of this:makes me feel like you're trying to take a stab at me. I hope that isn't the case as I do like having discussions with you.

Of course not. Just pointing out that all those arguments could easily apply to just about any given character in that position. Didn't mean to seem like I was taking a stab. Besides, you should know by now I never do that. If I think you're being an ass I'll tell you straight out in classy way. ;)

Hahahaha "see future in balls" hahaha you made me remember that video again xD
Seriously now, if they wanted they could have explained it better even in Judgement. It seems that they will hold all cool ideas for a future remake, even if it never see the sunlight.

Gotch'a  ;) Although I'd never want to become one as it's just not acceptable behavior for my character. It's difficult to tell these things online then it is talking face to face.

i prefer to think of her as the spirit of Sypha, his ancestor.  it fits at least.

The divine mother figure telling her great grandchild of a severe curse that has inflicted him. I kinda like this idea too. It's not out-of-the-way like with Sera or Julia. I think it could work.

I can verify that some exclusive information from that timeline about CVII's story comes from an offical Japanese guidebook of the game.
I have Japanese CVII guidebook (And, almost all Japanese CV guidebooks). There was no information about the mystery woman.
I'm on hiatus now.

Wow, thanks for sharing this information :)
Do you know anymore about CV II from these guidebooks? Like the clues, so we can know if some of them are mistranslated.
